I do not have a Signature!!!
Did you try changing the Intel controller to IDE instead of AHCI? Just a suggestion as RAID/AHCI drivers are the same when installing windows. You use the same Intel F6 drivers when installing windows with a RAID or AHCI configuration so that could possibly be the issue. Probably not but just a suggestion.

I did not run HyperPI. I am by no means trying to state these results are 24/7 stability settings, they are strickly benching settings which is why I have not run HyperPI.
Thanks spoolindsm127I am not sure if I have reached my IMC limit on my new 930 or reached the limits of my MGH-E Hypers. I was not able to get anywere close to those results with my 920 D0 that I just replaced. I also did not test the 920 on this Board, the testing with this memory and the 920 was done on my P6T Deluxe V2. I am going to throw my 920 into my REIII and see what it can do because it runs 4Ghz, 4.2GHz and 4.4Ghz 24/7 stable at much lower volts then my new 930. For example, I can run 4.2Ghz LinX 25 runs stable @ 1.285v with the 920 were my new 930 needs 1.325v. 920 @ 4.4Ghz is stable at 1.36v were my new 930 @ 4.4Ghz needs 1.42v.
Will post up results once I switch CPUS, not sure if I am doing that tonight as I am still trying to pass vantage at 4660+ on this new 930.

Does anyone have issues with their temp sensors?
According to HWMonitor and Realtemp, my 930 D0 @ 100% load, clocked to 4Ghz runs at 100C! It idles at around 55 -60C, but when i put prime 95 on it shoots to 95-100C. The strange thing is that its fully stable and will run hours on end if I wanted it to, but im slightly concerned and im wondering if the sensor is faulty?
I have a Corsair H70 cooler, with 2x120mm fans in push/pull, with the fans on full blast. Ive remounted it a few times with no change in temp![]()

I would say a bad mount or a real dud of a chip. What kind of thermal paste are you using and how are you applying it? I have a 920 D0 that idles at 28C and Primes at 4.2Ghz full load 70c. I also have a 930 D0 that idles at 31C @ 4.2Ghz and LinX 25runs max memory at 76c. Also, how much voltage are you using?

Hi guys.
I have read in this thread many people have noticed that ones your near your BCLK limit on the Asus Rampage III Extreme it starts to affect gaming performance, so I was wondering if this is a problem with just this board or is it a problem with Intel X58 chipsets?
I am planning on overclocking my i7 980X to 4.2GHz using a BCLK of 210 and my BCLK limit is 214, so will my gaming performance be affected with a BCLK of 210 or should it be ok as long as I don`t increase my BCLK any futher?
Thanks for responding.

I think your question can only be answered by you. It depends on your MB, CPU, and settings you are using. They are all different. I have heard people say there max blck is lower than other people with the same MB even though their CPU could clock higher on their previous board. You will have to test performance from 200 up to your desired 210 and see if your performance increases or decreases.

That was certainly the case with my board. My 920 would scale to higher levels on my P6T vanilla though at a higher Vcore but this board has better power regulation among other things. My 920 maxes at about 217 but will do 4500 at 1.38 prime on this board which is nice. I just got in a real nice batch 3570 which is unlocked and screaming for a good beating on this board.
Bios 1102 spotted on the FTP site.

id love to have those tempsim trying everything possible to get my temps lower but its just not happening. Im using AS5 termal paste, i spread a thin layer all over the cpu with a credit card then put the H70 cooler on it and i tighten it as far as it will go without overtightening
the vcore and vtt are both 1.3v. are there any other bios options i should check? im going to try mount it one more time otherwise ill try another cooler

Screw the H70 all the way down, what speed is the pump running at ? Is it running at all ? fans both mounted the same way ?
Last option is a bad H70 or a very convex/concave CPU IHS.Can you take a picture of the TIM spread on the IHS and H70
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
I have the H70 screwed down as far as it can go. ive tried moving it and it seems well mounted. ill remount again later today and post a pic
how do i check the speed of the pump? i have it connected directly to my PSU to make sure its getting the full 12V. Its vibrating and the tubes are vibrating so its definitely on. Both fans are facing the same way, blowing hot air out of the back of the case
ive also just updated the bios to 1102, since it apparently fixes wrong temp readings, but the temps havn't changed

Hook up the pump to the motherboard ( 1400ish rpm is normal ) Best way to get better temps is to suck in air from behind instead of your setup (differs 2-3°C). Which case is this in. Can you take a piccie of the setup ? wonder how hot the mobo temps are... CPU temps read out via Coretemp or Real Temp plz
Did some 2260 ram runs too for the review

CPU temp must be about 5~10ºC below core temps at full load.
Until 1005 bios, CPU temp is completely unsafe. It sticks in random temperatures.
CPU temp at 1102 bios no longer sticks, but it still rises and falls very much slower than the indicated by Core Temps.
So I don't use Q-Fan or Fan Xpert. If there is a quick rise in temperature, the PC gets no cooling.

That all I am talking about. It not below but above. BTW, Asus just officail the realease.

In a normal Intel system, CPU temperature (tcase) must be always below of cores temperatures (tjunction).
Bios 1102 on FTP, it's the same as the 1102 alpha or is beta?
I think it's the same
