aye thanks I saw it soon after my silly comment.

but yes 900mhz is very nice I hope this is not a golden chip and most can do this as well. 512 cuda + 900 mhz is solid.

    No, it's not.

Then again, the 580 is just a 480 anyway.

no. heatpipes and vapor chambers are just different shapes doing the same thing. the limit on cooling in a two slot video card is the volume available, not any difference between heatpipes and vapor chamber.

That's the real question. Does Nvidia have an answer for AMD's Eyefinity this generation?

I heard 460 support triple outputs. But mine 480 can't drive more than two, have to use second 7100GS card to drive third display (

Would it be possible he just means only review samples are out and none to the public.

Yes, that's what Charlie was suggesting. Apparently Skymtl has reason to believe that to be incorrect. Note though that Charlie said no cards this year and that it's a paper launch - implying no cards next week either. Not sure which one is being refuted.

The guys at Alienbabeltech got one and seem to be happy with it. Maybe they gave it to folks who they think would look favorably upon a 15% perf bump. Or maybe there are other reasons

There are units to be sold even in a periphery, developing country of mine, that i can assure you guys over. Whether the amount is sufficient to be called hard launch or not, and whether the supply would be continuous, i don't really know. The demand for this enthusiast, high priced card isn't exactly high here, so i know my country situation can't really be used as a true yardstick of GF110's type of launch. But will the card be available in distribution channel at least for the first wave of sales ? Yes, i think it will.

    EDIT:

Ofcourse, unless those AIB distributor guys in my local forum deceited me in the first place.

    EDIT2:

Ouch @Wizzard situation, that has to be dissappointing, suck for him. The reviewer guidelines must be very "special" then, and only the "chosen" ones are getting the samples, as a reward for their loyalty & obedience in following nVidia orders.

Distributor dudes in singapore seem to have made contact with some cards at least... but I suppose supply isn't that vast anyway for a $500 card.

I am refuting the statement that says there will be no cards available this year.
