I believe it might, as ATI really hasnt changed in the past few generations now. My main concern is the ram cooling, and I just want that full heatsink from swiftech.

I buy full coverage blocks for my vga cards. Actually last round I bought 3 of them
This time I just bought a single 5850 with the block for it, I bought it really early at launch, and I see no reason I cant keep it for another year or maybe 2, depending on my habbit patters and budget.
The full coverage blocks look amazing, and do a more complete job of cooling the card (so you don't need too much airflow), so they help build a quieter rig.

I love full coverage blocks. But I also dont want to drop an additional $250 when I just purchased the cards. I've been using my MCW60's since 8800gtx days and now I've been running xfire 4870's since they came out.
Thinking about upgrading to the new 6870's in xfire as well. Just hoping for the Full coverage heatsink to out be out soon.

*eek* the layout of these cards reminds me of the complicated design of the 460! Took so long for manufacturers to come out for blocks for them, but even then, it was hard to sell the blocks.

That would be extremely hard to makeThey will either mix and form a new color or they wont mix and one of the 2 colors will stay in your reservoir.
Although... if you're not using a reservoir or a very small one the liquid with the lower density will get sucked in everytime. Cool idea!

Hmm, aesthetics/looks-wise i liked shape of gtx480 blocks more.
@adamwzl: I guess somewhere around 65 EUR (w/o VAT).
@churchy: as said it will be a bit different in the final variant - especially on the left side. The oval holes are a bit strange but there is another free soldering space for capacitors so we just want to make sure that also a fully equipped card is compatible.
Shoggy: it's only look wise, otherwise imho this design is better for simple reason - to me it seems like this shape is smaller / less copper needed to manufacture it = block gonna be cheaper. For middle&low end card waterblocks getting price down imho should be the main priority, to not make full cover too expensive relative to (cheap) card price. Even effectiveness doesn't matter much, as middle&low end cards are much cooler heat dissipation wise.
I am really not a fan of copper colour, but the design of it looks fantastic IMO.
