Has anyone used 4GB dimms with this board? I'd like to get 6x4GB (specifically 2x OCZ Reaper 12GB PC3-16000C9) but not sure if this board supports 24GB? I also have an old BIOS.
Edit: I see it supports 24GB. But on Gigabytes memory support list for this board it only has one set of 4GB Dimm memory by Samsung. Obviously the RAM dont have to be on the support list for it to work, so just wondered if anyone has tried any other 4GB Dimms?

Is it likely that two different brands of memory (but same size) will run ok in tri-channel?

That's a great job!
What is the Northbridge heatsink? Do they come std with the later revisions, or is it an aftermarket one? Looks much better than losing the 1x slot, that's for sure.

That is a pourable silicone and it could stay on forever if you wanted it to. The stuff is great and even safer then knead-able eraser because it covers everything so well. It also comes of in one big piece so it easy to remove. Here is my final review, but the whole thread is great http://www.overclock.net/dry-ice-liq...l#post11149062
Yeah it comes with it but it really doesn't help that much. I doubt I will use it anymore as it gets in the way.

Looks like just your normal liquid pourable silicone. Nice idea for sure.

It's made for making molds and Face masks.
Thanks Serg
I have not tried it for LN2 yet, but I will be trying it in the next couple months.

I think you can find it at a lot of distributors. I like in MI and found one about 30 minutes from my house. http://www.tfbplastics.com/rubber/si...trial-kit.html
After using it I think it will hold up to L2N and I may even try pouring some into my RAM slots and PCI-E to see if it comes out without ripping.
