Hiwa just messaged me asking how to flash back to an older bios.

This will only work on boards with ROG connect afaik

Figured I would tell you all how to do this as ez flash will reject anything but latest bios sometimes.

Download the oldest bios possible so you can Update from there.......
( keep in mind you don't want a bios that does NOT support your cpu )

Rename file M3G, M3F or M3E, as its board specific. Extension .rom

Place the file on your USB.

Plug your USB into ROG connect receptacle.

Hold ROG button for 3 seconds. Let it go. IF its flashing it working, if your bios light near bios chip is flashing now its actually flashing.

Wait till it stops flashing.

I tested this myself and flashed extreme back to 0309 which is oldest bios available on site.

You do not need a cpu, memory, vga or anything to do this. Just 24 and 8 pin power to board.

personally though i use the ez-flash in the bios and it works forwards and back with 0 issues. 1 bug i do see is that if you clear cmos and then try to flash it wont pick up the usb device. you have to reboot 1 more time then it will work.
