Didn't know that, he's really good. My flash work pretty well sucks..

I made the intro to this site about 10 years ago...back when flash was in it's early stages. I'm surprised they still are running it..cheesy I know, but the guy liked it. This was back when I ran a hayabusa motorcycle forum and was experimenting with a little webweaving.. Some guy said he needed an intro to his site...I said sure...

Yeah, we can talk assumptions and theory down to the atomic level...bottom line the bench is the only way to know.

I want to see you build a rad bench to fit that Monsta 700 though..

skinnee: what fan size/section count rad samples were sent to you? I'm guessing it would be hard to compare apple to apple if it isn't 3x120mm, as IIRC only 140mm rad tested by skinneelab was PA 140.3.

2x180mm rads would make nice fit for FT02/RV02 (or 3x180, if hard disk enclosure is removed). Though then again maybe not, as rad inlet side makes rad longer, and these new rads are very thick, even further limiting usuable GPU length in those cases.

Latency issues server to server, places to places being local, regional or statual can be complicated. No wonder some are taking minutes and some seconds.

I searched wikki and see there are other options...would be interesting if there was one soldered with a high silver concentration.

I think I read somewhere that the typical folded fins is not ideal either. If the fins could be folded such that the fins formed rectangles instead of triangles, that you'd get some gain out of it...

I'm just happy to see some new ideas being tried, look forward to skinnees testing..
Not only is the standard folded fin/triangle design not ideal... it's actually ass-backwards.

Air resistance increases as you approach the vertex of each triangle, so you get lower airflow at the place where you should have faster airflow. On the open side of each triangle, is where you have brass-to-air on most radiators.

Luckily, the brass is thin enough that there is some good transfer going on there, but that and the outside edges of the vertexes adjacent to it are where "all" the work is getting done.

My boss and I actually used to make rectangular, or more like trapeziodal copper accordions for using as a thermal spacer between magneto-optical filters and their housings. We found the restriction was too great when using a standard zig-zag pattern.

It's actually really easy to do... you just run the copper through meshed gear teeth. You'd have to modify them so that they didn't squash the small perforations in the fins, but it would be possible.

    re

It seem that we gonna need high static pressure fan to really enjoy this radiator correctly.

Don't anyone have an idea on spec?

    thx
