I do not know exactly what it is but I've chosen not to use them this time and the board that I have now seems to be functioning correctly. My question is, Do I have to use these power connection for a HD Radeon Crossfire setup with 2 HD 5870,s or not. I do not see why the video cards need any additional power besides the power that they get directly from the PSU and the manual doesn't explain anything in detail what these plugs do . What exactly does the EZ Plugs do anyway and how would I benefit from using them?. Your prompt replies will be appreciated

Thanks
The EZ Plugs are there for high end overclocking of tri/quad sli/xfire.
Regular SLI setups don't need them for regular overclocks.

I'm running my GTX275's overclocked a decent amount without them, with no issues.
