    gpuz shows 1.0v on mine
...which means that the default VID for YOUR GPU is 1.0v.

I didn't touch the 2D voltage - it will be exactly the same as with original bios.

Ok, i'll give him this version to.
P.S: Kelso, your bios worked, one more request, my friend also want to have a more stock version of bios( 700/1400/3800) and if it is posssible to modify the fan mimimum speed, it is posible to set the minimum from 40% to 30% to make the card more silent?
The last request....Please very much... Thank you.

Kelso we have been through this before. the gpu does not have a default vid! It's set from the BIOS.

I have a Palit sonic, and the orig bois was set to 0.9375 - 1.075v gpuz showed 0.9875v at 3d

However I put a Palit sonic Platnum bios on it. bios voltage set to 0.95 -1.0875 gpuz reports 1.0v at 3d

The interesting thing is even though gpuz reports a paticular voltage it's not always correct. for example if you check it with your dmm you will see the voltage change with the load (and im not talking 2d to 3d) i.e. dynamic change of VIDs in the range to compensate for the load. like It overvolts its self on demand...

    EDIT:
    DMM mesurements:
    furmark 1.05v
    heavin 1.037v
    stonegiant 1.025v

700/1400/3800/1.0v. - palit.zip. I have no idea how to modify the fan speed.

Some of you may want to experiment with the PCI-E bus. With my GTX460 @ 875/4.4GHz and PCI-E @ 100 I scored 34.4FPS in the AvP benchmark, all settings maxed. I then raised PCI-E to 110 and got 36.4FPS in the AvP bench, ran the test 3 times to be sure it wasn't a fluke but each time it returned 36.4FPS. Looks like I may be loading my poor PCI-E bus a bit much and the boost helps

    Thank you very much

Tomorrow I'm gonna check the bus speed effect in somme tests.

I'm gonna flash the new bios and then I will test with 3d mark 01, vantage and source engine.

It may be interesting because I have a p35 motherboard...

I wouldn't go to mvktech. Couple weeks ago I went there and my laptop got attacked by a vicious virus that infected the site. (Yes it was deffinately from the mvktech site). Any website that has lax security like that instantly gets put on my blacklist and stays there, permanently.

Ket, the TOP bios was posted a little while ago in this thread. I modded it for the poster.

(Also, are you using FBE 1.54 yet? Do you know the change log at all as I couldn't spot it with a quick look)

I can't update my version of FBE. I click on the link within FBE but it doesn't do anything.

I wouldn't say anywhere, but mvktech assaulted my laptop that uses a lot of protection and still managed to penetrate it. So its on the blacklist.

You sure dude ? I'm getting the same results on my 4 year old board. Was getting it 4 years ago also. PCI-E freq set to 112 24/7 and it's 122 max stable. All thou i got to tell you after 115 with stable overclock it did corrupt my XP installs few times. I mostly keep it at 24/7 speeds xpt benching. But you are right it does increase FPS a bit especially it helps with low fps for me. Don't get the sudden drops.

If i ever go fermi this thread could be useful to me. Might want to try to tweak memory timings. Is it avail in Nibitor for fermi? can you apply with out saving bios?

Those with Fermi can confirm. Those findings are just what happens on my system. I run quite a lot of stuff off the PCIE bus so its no surprise increasing it helps. Didn't get any gains above 110 though so seems everything balances out once I hit that.

I did get a small boost. FYI PCIe is not really a bus, i.e. it has dedicated lines, and bandwidth to your card, so other PCIe devices do not compeat for bandwidth at the PCIe level.

Right now Nibitor only tweaks VGPU, and Clock domains for Fermi.

    Hi

Just wanted to say that I tried the modified BIOS on my PALIT GTX 460 Sonic Platinum 1 GB, but started to one issue.
The problem was that the card gets "stuck" on the "slow" profile, with the memory set at 325 MHz, even after trying to manually change it (tried a few tools like MSI Afterburner and EVGA Precision, but none worked) the card kept that speed. And as you would imagine, at that speed, the card performs rather slowly (it was pathetic... everything lagged as hell).

I want to know if it was only me, or there is something wrong with the BIOS.

Also, and because of the same, is that wanted to ask if someone can mod the original BIOS, but only two things:
    - set the fan "lower limit" to 30% (default setting starts at 40%)
    - unlock voltage maximum value

That's to see if by not touching the profile settings the card works as intended (i.e. doesn't get stuck with the slow profile).

    Thanks in advance

We know. Just a generic term. FYI its not "lines" but "lanes"

Something is wrong there. I haven't changed any GPU speed to that on any of the P-States. Clean out your drivers and reinstall them. Try reflashing the vBIOS as well just in case something didn't "stick" properly.

I actually forgot to mention that already tried reflashing it (even downloaded the file again).
Gonna try again, cleaning old drivers this time, to see if that makes it work properly.

Still would like to know if U can make one with only the two mods (lower fan limit plus voltage unlock), since the default profiles (2d, 3d etc. clocks) work really great on this card, I haven't got any problems/messages with them (i.e. low performance in aero because of the 51 MHz core clock).

    Thanks

PS: the BIOS I posted is the original directly from PALIT themselves.
