I'm sure that there is still plenty of content out there that UVD may not be able to decode properly or at all, I think that it's much easier to avoid such media files. Chances are you can find an alternative that is properly encoded to allow H/W Acceleration.
true. ive been stuck with watching torrented movies for a while (blockbuster going out of business can be blamed) and not one in the last year or so has ever used more than 10% of my cpu
