You flash a modified BIOS onto your card , then you can control voltage with afterburner, you still can over volt the cards without flashing your BIOS but you will have more voltage with a modified BIOS and raise your core clocks etc. There is a GTX Database where Ket has a list of modified BIOS files that you can use to flash pending on what brand you go with.
