Hey Trigger, have you checked your Event viewer logs to see what's causing the crash?
I had the same issue, 'nvoclk64.sys' (Nvidia System Tools) stopped my gf's 780i from waking up from sleep so I removed it.
The default Windows 7 SATA/RAID drivers where causing my S2E to wake up from sleep with Aero disabled so I updated to the latest chipset drivers (15.53WHQL) and the problem has been fixed.
