    Evening chaps.

Been having some trouble with sleeving my HX1000w. Managed to sleeve the 20+4 pin connector without any trouble using the staple method. But for the life of me I can't unpin 6 of the 8 pin power connector or any of the PCI-E cables. I got 2 of the 8 pin connectors out without any hassle and sleeved them. Tried using smaller staples, 2 bent together, larger staples, paper clips, 2 tiny tiny screwdrivers and even a monstrously small spudger. Tried a variety of different tools to try and force the staples furter down but no avail. I don't want to apply any more force to pull it out, afraid it would snap.

Any ideas ? I'm close to buying the Nils's Pin Removal tool on MDPC-X.com but that would take ~10 days to get here and my HAF-X is sitting here looking at me angrily.

All suggestions are welcome and thanks for this great thread!

either pull it out and re-crimp it, buy frozenCPU's depinner, or buy the MDPC one. 10 days is worth the wait for the time and stress it will save you depinning your current and future PSUs.

Nils' tool is highly recommended. It takes the pins out without messing up the two flaps either side of the pin.

Nice pics dude, absoulately hotness ha, When sleeving the corsair 1000watt psu its quite difficult.. You wanna pull quite hard but make sure you are pulling them straight or you will depin them, i learnt the hard way hehe...

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
