Sure already did after I replaced the 550 with 555 and had to do so a few times whenever C1E caused problems with that CPU (since clear CMOS data is the only option to get it running again after C1E was enabled)

    Hey bingo,

Is there a problem with the impementaion of AHCI on the C4F?

The reason I ask is I had an OCZ Vertex 120 with an older WD Caviar 400Gb (2006 SATAII) drive in AHCI mode.
The WD would freak out sometimes (not always), lots of clicking and wasn't recognized when it finally booted.

I thought maybe the old WD was dying so I bought a new WD(1Tb)6.0 Gb/s drive to replace it.
When I went to copy the files from the old drive to the new one, it would copy for a couple minutes then lock my machine up....
I tried everything, even at stock clocks I had the same lockups!

Switching to IDE mode solved the problem (even OC'd) and I managed to copy all the files flawlessly...

The OCZ SSD was/is still my C: drive, only the data drive changed.

    Is this a known problem?
Honestly the performance difference between IDE and AHCI isn't that much, but you know how us XS geeks are....

I have combination of OCZ Vertex 2 in Raid-0 and WD VelociRaptor on my C4F, and I don't have the problem you have. I even had WD Caviar Black before and it didn't show the symptom you are talking about.

And your running these in AHCI mode?

When you choose RAID in the bios, other none RAID devices are automatically in AHCI mode unless you manually pick IDE.
