    Ok maybe i was wrong about it.
    When I saw that you'd reply to all other questions that came before or after my post about that issue, but said nothing regarding my post and that voltage issue, it seemed to be like the mails from asus support. They answered every question but gave never a single word about my vdroop / llc question just as if I never said anything about it
    Sorry if my conclusion was wrong

    a first, fast conclusion of M3N-HT Deluxe 3106:

    fixed:
    * disabling CnQ does this now on all 6 cores, not only two
    * CPU-info in bios shows now 6x 512 L1 cache (not 2x)

    not fixed:
    * P3 state is still invisible for OS! This is in my opinion a bad bug, System only clocks down to 1600MHz (instead of 800MHz), if the missing P3 state is unlocked with PhenomMSRTweaker TurboCore does not work any more
    * Downcore Option in bios only offer disabled and 1 core instead of disabled, 1 core, 2 cores, ... 5 cores
    * Difference between setted VID and real Vcore semms a little bit better - here a "translation Map" VID -> Real Vcore:

    0.8125V -> 0.8V (including this line and all further lines 1600MHz)
    0.8250V -> 0.816V
    0.8375V -> 0.832V
    0.8500V -> 0.848V
    0.8750V -> 0.864V
    0.9000V -> 0.896V
    0.9500V -> 0.944V
    1.0000V -> 0.992V
    1.0500V -> 1.056V
    1.1000V -> 1.104V
    1.1500V -> 1.168V (including this line and all further lines 3200MHz)
    1.2000V -> 1.216V
    1.2500V -> 1.264V
    1.3000V -> 1.328V
    1.3500V -> 1.376V (including this line and all further lines 3800MHz)
    1.4000V -> 1.440V
    1.4250V -> 1.472V
    1.4500V -> 1.488V
    1.4750V -> 1.520V
    1.5000V -> 1.552V
    1.5250V -> 1.584V
    1.5500V -> 1.616V

    This only occurs under CPU-Load - this values are with running prime Large FFTs in background.
    If I stop prime it looks i.e. like this:
    1.5500V -> 1.568V

    in bios I've setted Vcore to Auto. Any hints?

    still not implemented:
    * TurboCore cannot be disabled in BIOS

    as soon as the bios offers the P3-state to OS the bios would be quite OK, the other points are only minor "enhancements" which would be nice but not necessary at this moment.

    I've not tested any multiplcator-settings or Referenceclock-settings in bios, the only options which I am setting is the NB speed to x13 (2600MHz) and the HT-Link locked to 2GHz. I only overclock with K10stat and the VID / multiplcatorregisters of the CPU.

    anyway, thanks at this moment for the work, keep on!

    thanx for the work on the bios
    i'm using M4A89GTD-PRO with 1503bios
    CPU: 1055t @ 3.6G (1.3375v with LLC enabled so it up the voltage to 1.356v while load)

    by putting win7 into Sleep, after wake up the vcore stuck at 1.4v no matter i turn on/off cnq, e1st or change cpu voltage between manual/offset
    i get same result, it always stuck at 1.4v after wake up from Sleep.

    hope the next bios will fix this..cheers ^^

    That's disappointing - glad I did not spend the time to update the bios on my customer's board.

    Wonder what "validation testing" means in Asus land

    Still waiting on M3A79-T bios to be released (after validation testing ofcourse!)

    I got a mail concerning the new 0905 CH IV bios ( spamming this in all CH IV related threads )

    1.Vcore graph via ROG Connect:

    In case a fluctuation of CPU Vcore is observed plz check the following :
    - Intel EIST / C1E / C-State / Intel® TurboMode Tech is enabled in BIOS.
    - AMD C’n’Q / C1E / TurboCore is enabled in BIOS.
    - Load-Line Calibration has not been enabled in BIOS

    If any of these is enabled you will encounter Vcore fluctuation...

    DDRIII-2000+ support under AMD platform:

    Up to 4x DDRIII-2000+ modules can be supported under the AMD models with the 0905 BIOS :
    - The use of Thuban processors. (well you still need a good IMC Thuban CPU to achieve this)
    - The use of the latest BIOS dating from at least the 22/06/2010 (this counts for M4A89 series and Crosshair IV Formula)
    - Ensure you start to load DIMM modules from the black slots if you are not intending to load all four DIMM slots with DRAM.
    Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

    Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    First off, 3106 is not the build we are working with internally. Until I post a new beta I would not consider it to be tested. That said, R&D is back from the long holiday and I am on my way to Taiwan, so we should start seeing new betas shortly.

    Good news Bingo. I am going to skip 3106 on M3N-HT and wait for you to post your BETA from Taiwan soon.

    Im sorry in advanced if it seems I'm busting your chops I'm honest to god not and am trying to help in any way I can. Needless to say there is a damn good reason I trashed my previous MSI board and it had everything to do with the fantastic Asus support I've recieved in the past

    Bios 3603 for the M4A79 Deluxe still has the same issue when C1E enabled:
    Freezes under Windows and no Reset / Reboot / Boot without CMOS Reset and NT Power off. Everythings works fine as long as C1E is disabled

    It's working fine for me
    There is a C1E patch, maybe you should try it: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=236371

    Improvements introduced with the C3 revision:

    # Hardware C1E implemented: Faster switching of power states means virtually no impact to performance by power management when BIOS support is properly implemented. (From here: Link)

    Did you tried to clear your CMOS data and then load setup default (and reboot) before you start tweaking/unlocking/etc?

    Sure already did after I replaced the 550 with 555 and had to do so a few times whenever C1E caused problems with that CPU (since clear CMOS data is the only option to get it running again after C1E was enabled)

    Hey bingo,

    Is there a problem with the impementaion of AHCI on the C4F?

    The reason I ask is I had an OCZ Vertex 120 with an older WD Caviar 400Gb (2006 SATAII) drive in AHCI mode.
    The WD would freak out sometimes (not always), lots of clicking and wasn't recognized when it finally booted.

    I thought maybe the old WD was dying so I bought a new WD(1Tb)6.0 Gb/s drive to replace it.
    When I went to copy the files from the old drive to the new one, it would copy for a couple minutes then lock my machine up....
    I tried everything, even at stock clocks I had the same lockups!

    Switching to IDE mode solved the problem (even OC'd) and I managed to copy all the files flawlessly...

    The OCZ SSD was/is still my C: drive, only the data drive changed.

    Is this a known problem?
    Honestly the performance difference between IDE and AHCI isn't that much, but you know how us XS geeks are....

    I have combination of OCZ Vertex 2 in Raid-0 and WD VelociRaptor on my C4F, and I don't have the problem you have. I even had WD Caviar Black before and it didn't show the symptom you are talking about.
