Another run with the i5-660.

Damn, 4.8GHz and 70C max... Makes me want to get one of these chips! Very impressive!![]()
@OC Nub - congrats, very nice temps for 4.8!
Thank you Jor. You know you are welcome to that chip anytime you like.
I'm tempted to make an i5 system now with the guise of being an "HTPC" ...that just happens to go up to 4.8ghz lol.
I do this stuff for a living... it sorta takes the fun out of it.

File Server
Ubuntu 12.04: Underclocked i5-2500k, Asus P8Z68-V, 4x4GB Corsair DDR3 @1333, 3ware 9650 SE 4 port RAID card in RAID 5 with 4x1TB Western Digital Caviar Black.
This run was with HT disabled and a cheap 2x1gb kit. After 4950mhz it is very hard to pass with any reasonable voltage, I switched to 2x1gb because I was afraid of killing this poor chip with 1hr+ runs and I have reached the limits of my cooling using HT
