Core 2 Duo(Conroe) was based on the Intel Core Duo(Yonah) which was based on the Pentium M(Banias) which was based on the Pentium III(Coppermine).

Core 2 Duo is a Pentium III on meth.

Right in my neck of the woods, like within miles.

I am in China so nothing I can do. But my wife and her family have their eyes out.

I still don't get it. A child got lost in Oregon (for what I've read), so? Last time I checked many many children get lost (unfortunately) every year, how is this any more important than any other?

Because... and I am going out on a limb here, friends help out?

Dude, this not the time and place for such. Use your social skills. Or take it up with a mod.

Being a kid of parents who have lost a child albeit under different conditions, I hope he returns safely.

how would a tech site help? It might get notice out but no kidnapper (if that is the case) is going to return him because he read a message board that has the same reply being repeated over and over.

Anyways, its pretty unusual this kid went missing at school, they said he was 120 feet away from a classroom (iirc)? Pretty ed up

You're thinking too one dimensional. Someone on a tech site sees it, they mention it by word of mouth to someone else, who overhears someone else talking about it, etc. etc. (I'm not very good at explaining things but you get the idea.)
