Ultimately to get it lower you need to disable HPET (High Precision Event Timer), but Asus doesn't give us that option. Though I've read that disabling ACPI 2.0 support is the equivalent on a Asus board, but from the description I doubt that.

If you don't mind, disable ACPI 2.0 support and see if that does anything for the numbers.

As far as I am aware, disabling ACPI 2.0 will result in the system being unable to boot? It is a core system feature that is installed when you install the OS for the first time, a bit like AHCI for SATA HDDs (I think).
