terrace215 you are not seriously implying that AMD has some hidden wood screws here? While there is some validity to your questions and we would like to see the system board Fusion is running on and its TDP, its hard to imagine that company like AMD would only have bluff on their hands.

Also as Shadov pointed out this is the first APU that we see working. Don't underestimate the importance of this. While its no secret that Intel cpu's and their manufacturing process are bit ahead of AMD right now being first with most efficient APU could propel AMD to gain lots of market share in the future.
Got to see the writing on the wall. Within 5-8 years dedicated GPU's could very well be the thing of the past. And as technology progress fusing both cpu and gpu is the only logical outcome. That is why Nvidia is going nuts and Intel will never cancel Larrabe.

Actually AMD is kind of nicely position for the future as they have ATi expertise in GPU's, Intel giving its size will figure it out but things look grim for the green team. If there is no game changer Nvidia could simply become irrelevant in a decade as APU's take over.

Now hows that for conspiracy theory?
