I absolutely love the blue that your dyes
made for my wall case. I mentioned it in
my build log but if people haven't seen it
please look at my wall case build log in my
    sig.

I also have put the same blue in my torture
rack to match the case on the wall.

Thanks so much for the dyes I will definitely
use them in all future builds!

mlwood37, maybe the red disappearing is a reaction with some metals in loops ? I have mostly nickel plated blocks (full covers for MB + 2 GPUs), one copper block (CPU) and radiators (brass). I also have nickel plated BP fittings... So 90% nickel i'd say, maybe it reacts with the red dye ?

My loop with the red\purplr dye has 2x5970 nickel blocks from ek, bp\ek compression fittings, bras rad. Maybe someone with a nickel block can test it out and compare to another type of block.
As i said i ran a test on the purple on a loop of pump and res. That did not fade to much i think..

i just orderd a nick block ill add this into one of my cooper loop set ups and see how it goes.

right at this moment im stuck for a answer so until ive run these tests i cannot say any thing. Like is ay though honsilty hand on hart here this is the first time this has cropped up. Im being told Buy dyes experts it should have no effect what so ever unless some chemical is present so i can only run it my self and see how it goes. How ever let me know you order no and ill run fund you the FULL ammount of your percahse inc post and packing.

Dont send the dyes back mate keep them.

And ill let you know what happens from this end . Ill run a Blood red mix though a over heating system and see what happens over a period of days i reckon 100c for 1 week shoud hit a nice sweet spot.

I have 2xGTX285 nickel blocks from EK, BP compressions, brass rads. Same metals then - and the red faded out.

Don't worry about it. I might just flush the loop and test with just blue, pink uv or purple. To see if they also fade inn that loop.
I have seen dyes change colors inn a loop from other brands as well. Might be something inn the loop. Some residue on blocks, tubes or something. the best thing would be if i found out what it was...

    @gmat

You don't have any chance to run the loop sometime without the gtx's inn the loop. Just pump, res, rad and cpu.??

    Thumbs down

me i run GPU in my loops yes.

As for this Nickle fading the red. If i can get any one else who has a nickle block who would confirm this then i can add a warning to the mix.

I do have a UV red Red / Yellow but i have never released it as its not relay red.

I've been thinking that the problem with the fading dyes is heat. I was running fine with they dye for three months and suddenly it starts to fade very quick.

I've been running a lot of stability tests at higher speed than my 4.05GHz so there was a lot more heat and I also had my pump running at the lowest speed.

So I think that more heat and less flow could have been the problem.

might have to look at changing to candy red dye. thats one of the good things about these dyes is they dont ruiin the system but looks like the candy red is or maybe having problems along that lines.

my systems never get above 60c for long periods of time but i have boil tested the dyes for 1 hours to see residue effects and there was none untill i boiled the pan dry. And even then the power left behind was so minuscule is was negligible weather any would be daft enough to do that in the first place.

Recieved my shipment the other day, thanks, fast shipping!

I am concerned with the UV dye however, it shouldn't look like this right?

It looks to be separated, and I assume the same will happen in my loop which would not be all that great.

If you need a better image I can post one later once my better camera is home. And no that is not flash on the bottle, it is white stuff separated and floating/sunk to the bottom

Hi there that's normal Give it a good shake its not separated its actually a gell.

You only need 1 to 3 drops per ltr and its will disperse in the system. The gel (dye) is very thick and seems in the warm weather you get that. giving it a good shake before use to mix it back into its liquid state will solve that problem. Once its in Use in the water cooling system youll never see that again.

Sorry no i went directly to full setup (MB + 2xGPU + CPU).
Interesting that you mention heat, my system was up crunching 24/24 for the WCG marathon, and that OCed i7 produces tons of heat. Also long hours of Crysis and other demanding games... Let's say the air going out of my system is hot. At one point it was on 24/24 with the CPU at 70-74C, and when gaming the twin GPUs are like a central heating system. I suspect i have rather high water temperatures...

    24/7 running quiet and nice

I cannot do any work at the moment as all systems have now been stripped and packed ready for unboxing in my new home but once i get the chance ill run some more tests on the red and Heat . Ill seee what happens with boil in the pan and then chuck in a block and boil it and see what happens.

Thanks for your reply! It is not hot in my house, 68-70F, and I have shook it a few times and it still separates right back to the same way.

Are you sure that is OK? I know when my PC is running it will mix back up, but when it is not it seems to me like this will settle back into the same type of thing in my loop somewhere.

Maybe not though, in a larger amount of water, but I just thought I would let you know it is not hot in my house so heat can't be the cause and it re-separates again after shaking it up

Yeh Its fine it a gel. its because its so thick that it goes like that. I could sell its as a pure thick gell but if i did it would be 1 drop per 5 Ltrs which would be a micky take.

Hi there there is no such thing as a white dye. never has been but there is a white substance how ever atm no results will be shown until a more reliable method of testing can be done. Allo the fact that every thing is in boxes atm lol.
