I'm just going for some benches, this isn't for 24/7. I know components vary but every review of the Viper II kit has them doing 2100 9-9-9 on stock volts, so somthing else must be up.

The sticks are only going to run 1333 on stock settings, you'll have to either enable XMP or manually adjust the settings to get them at DDR3-2000.

Either of those should be good, or any other kit using Elpida Hyper chips (the fixed ones) rated DDR3-2000 8-8-8 or even 7-7-7 if you can find some.

After some tedious "in'Around", here's my situation:

I click "sleep" (windows 7, x64), the computer shuts down, reboots by itself after a 3-4sec delay.

If I close the power switch on the PSU and re-open it right away, it reboots. If I let the LEDs die on the board THEN re-open the switch, the board powers-up but the computer doesn't reboot. After either one of those scenarios, I get back into win7 with a "resuming windows" screen, as expected from either hibernate or sleep.

Why the reboot when power is left on?

The board goes thru full post and controller init THEN takes you to BIOS. It's kind of backwards compared to going straight to BIOS after DEL is pressed in initial booting screen... You can speed this up by disabling E-Sata ctrl, port 8-9 ctrl, port 6-7 ctrl and using the "quick post" option. That'll shave about 5sec overall.

    Hi folks,

I just went downtown to get me a harddrive and got me a 920 D0 CPU instead, just because I still had a C0, and the store sold them for a rather cheap 200 Euros here. My first attempts at overclocking are not just promising, but absolutely fantastic. I was going straight to 3.8 GHz.

I am hitting 3.8 at 1.20625 (default!) VCore and 1.255V QPI. 20 passes of Linx, stable! CPU temp. is app. 58C. My C0 took 1.30V core and 1.43V VTT at 3600...

Let's see what this baby can pull off...

Here's the batch number if you're curious: #3944A827, pack date: 12/04/2009

    Edit:

I just noticed the batch number on CPU and package don't match. The one on the chip is #3942A459

I hit the save and exit and nothing it would not start up just fans all running and no post.So did a clr cmos and fired up again settings went back to default so thought lets give it another go.Well this time round it did start and boot up in to windows which was cool.I ran prime95 for stabilty test it ran for like 7mins then core to failed.Temps where getting very high at one point under the stress test like 70 when not stressed there at around 35 39 as im watercooled how high can this chip take the heat?.Well anyway done a restsrt to see if it would start back up and same think black screen all powers running no post.So hit the power switch turned it off and powered back up posted but i got a msg saying system failed due to overclocking press any key to continue mind u the settings where changed for me again grrrrrrrrrrrr. Is this bios f7j the latest one i can beleave how long this m/b takes to post beep before the ud7 wallpaper comes up then it hangs again before it does its tests before u see the windows logo come.

They didn't make, they are just inform Taiwan what they should change and send back to them to check. Then they give access to new BIOS to their customers first.
Once I posted on TT forum(from my source),they release to public.
The funny thing is that many of them think that JZelectronic make the BIOS.

    Give me 30 min!
