Dumo's MSI 890FX GD70

A friend of mine is reviewing a few boards, with the same CPU the Crosshair 4 Formula and Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD7 did 200MHz more NB than the MSI 890FXA-GD70.

I'm torn between the two (this one and the Gigabyte), please swing me in a direction. The Gigabyte looks like the much nicer board but I'd have to import, which poses a problem should I need to return it under warranty.

TBH I can not without shoooting myself in foot reccomend any brand or model board over another.

Have to understand that i play on delicate ground here.

Most hardware backed guys are "brand loyal"

I choose to remain neutral so as to help all endusers out.

Not many can get away with testing/reporting on any brand they like unless it's a review site or out of pocket.

What I can do is show results and point out potential issues so you can make the best decision that suits your needs.

Yeah i was thinking something along those lines. Maybe the 3:10 divider will work better?

Yes it does and will.....my issue with this is this caters more to those with "uber" ram however.

This is why I am pushing the manufacturers hard to get 2/1 ratio working, so that the mainstream guys are not left in the dust with locked chips.

Thus my post with 445 HT, I was told that the chips can't do it which is why it's not a concern. Seems to me they do it just fine
