    ---FuZion---

    Welcome to my project build log!

    I present

    ...its an art...

    FuZion is my first H20 project. It will incorporate affordable, yet beautiful, water cooling equipment and hardware. FuZion was named because of the fusion of parts I am incorporating into this build (Intel, Nvidia, PNY, Patriot, Bitspower etc) Its a bringing together of some of the best of each highend brand, to create a computer, built from the ground up to be an art.

    Goal

    An affordable, and beautiful computer. Offering looks, watercooling, and high performance.

    Overview

    FuZion is a bringing together of high quality p55, Fermi and watercooling parts to create, not only a computer, but a peice of art. Watercooling will be a single, all internal, loop.

    Hardware:

    Motherboard: Asus P7P55D Premium
    Processor: Intel i5 650
    Graphics: PNY GTX 470 reference
    Power: Galaxy DX X 1000
    Memory: Patriot Viper 4GB CL7 1600MHZ
    Case: *undecided*

    Watercooling:

    CPU Block: HeatKiller v3.0
    GPU Block: Koolence GTX 470
    Mobo Block: EK p55 Full Cover
    Tubing: Tygon Clear g1/4, 3/8'' ID
    Res: Bitspower Water Tank Z- multi 250
    Radiator/pump: 120.3 Switech MCR320-Drive (internal pump)
    Fittings/clamps: Bitspower/DD
    Fans: *undecided*

    Misc:

    MDPC-X Sleeving
    LED Lighting
    Paint

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    To start off here, this computer will be built gradually, as money comes in. Most parts are either ready be ordered or already have been.
    I have recieved my motherboard and RAM thus far. Rest of the parts are on there way, or waiting to be ordered.
    I still haven't decided on a case. So I am really hoping to here your voice and opinions on that. My thought would be a Lian Li or Silverstone case. I would love the TJ07 but its out of my price range, but as I continue on, it might become an option. I am looking for a good looking, well thought out case. Most likely in the $200 range.
    My plan is to have a single loop, internal system.
    Rad>pump>Res>GPU>SB>CPU>NB>
    First up, the ram and motherboard.
    Meh, $200 is pretty tight budget for a Lian Li or Silverstone case for a build like this. I am thinking it should probably be a full tower.
    TJ07 would be perfect if it wasn't out of your price range. That is what I am using for my build.
    What about Cooler Master? an ATCS 840 seems like it would work.
    I prefer Lian Li myself, but for that budget and probably needing a full tower to keep everything looking clean, an ATCS 840 may be your best bet.
    $169.99 with free shipping.
    They make windowed side panels for these two if that is something you wanted
    Really appreciate it! I can't wait to see how everything works out.
    Finding the right case is crucial now, I have been doing lots of research the past few days.
    I'll do that.
    So, I should have my radiator in Sunday. Block either tomorrow or Monday.
    At this point, i believe i will be getting the TJ07. Its the best looking case, and I love it to death. It'll just take a bit for me to get the money together. (things could change if i decide i really can't pull the money together. So, i am looking for the 2nd best alternative.)
    Update 5/31/10 Heatkiller 3.0 reveal.
    Block came in! Its a beautiful block, thats all I can say. My Rad didn't come in like I was hoping but sometime this week I should get my hands on it. Possibly Wednesday. As for my GTX470, its should be on its way. I'll be ordering tubing, fittings, res and koolence block this week.
    As of right now, my case will be the TJ07. I have been looking high and low for a well priced one on the forums or somewhere. It'll just take some saving, but I know it'll be worth it in the end.
    So, without further ado, the Heatkiller 3.0
    You should switch this around slightly so that it's res>pump and also you'll certainly want to do your CPU before GPU and NB/SB. Keep in mind that the temp on the CPU is the most sensitive thing in your WC loop so it's important to have fresh(er) water going into this. Especially with the Fermi in your loop, which is known to generate huge amounts of heat.
    EDIT: Just looked and saw pump was internal to rad, scratch the res>pump part. Whatever you do though don't pump into the res! You'll lose all of your pressure. Do res>rad/pump>cpu>nb/sb/gpu>res if anything.
    As far as cases go, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative check out the HAF 932: Black Edition. That's what I'm waiting for with my build (comes out at the end of June).
    Your motherboard is very shiny...
    Ahh, very smart. I hadn't even considered making the loop hit the CPU first. I was just looking at what would look best within the case.
    Thanks for all the advice, it was a help.
    I am sure of getting the TJo7. I finished my "Project HAF 932" a couple weeks ago, so i am burnt out on the HAF series right now.
    Not true as far as "fresher" water. The water temp throughout the loop equalizes to the point where there isn't even a .1C difference between blocks and radiators. Water isn't magically 15C cooler after leaving the rad and 10C hotter after leaving the GPU block. Build the loop so you have the shortest tubing possible while still keeping the reservoir immediately before the pump. Don't worry about order as long as you do keep the pump after the reservoir.
    Thanks for the correction, you're right. I've read that so many times but the pump>res must have thrown me off
