    Problem Description
    Freezing
Try changing to the highlighted settings and see if you get any positive response. Those memory modules work best using the latest BIOS from ASUS (1402). Just because your game craps out, doesn't mean it's an unstable configuration. Try to be patient, this is what overclocking is all about.

Download and run Prime95 "Blend" test and see if you get any errors. Also, check to see if that game has any latest patches which may have been released to fix that crash. Some games, especially new ones, have memory leaks and such poor coding that it's amazing they run at all.

EDIT: After some research on Assassin Creed 2, I see that it is a game by Ubisoft who are known for producing buggy games. AND I see that you are one of many with this same issue. I believe it's a poor coding problem with the game. You might follow some suggestions found HERE.
