Thanks. I am about to fire it up to install windows. I noticed that the board wouldn't post with the XMP profile set using the C72000 Corsair Dominator GT's. I also noticed that the M.I.T page was stuttering a lot with my USB keyboard. I didn't bother playing around with it for very long though, just wanted to make sure it worked.

Pretty much every Giga board has issues with USB keyboards so that's not really surprising. They need to get their together and figure out the solution already.

It seems like every time they fix it with a new BIOS, they break it with another.

the pool of people having this board will be very small after seeing the price of it.

$700 for a mb is insane, maybe if I was going after a WR or something but then I'd expect Gigabyte to send me a few to "test" lol

Good for you. A friend of mine has a UD7/980X combo and he's forced to use two keyboards because only the cheap one gets detected in the BIOS. Not to mention its painfully slow boot and occasional CMOS resets after a shut down. Not to mention the IRQ / Pool data and AHCI screens who the heck needs to see this stuff. Gigabyte guys have still a lot to learn from Asus.

Erm, dunno man. I just checked my keyboard on my q6600 system with a Giga X48-DS5 and it's a USB one as well and I've never had any issue with it either. Strange .

Pretty happy with it. Memory needs more tweaking, was able to boot into windows at 243 bclk - something I have never done on the Classified.

    Looking forward to next weekend.
