Sorry, but you don't flash biosses under LN2, it's a good tip... I've had some issues with this board under cold and would never flash it at them temps man.

only thing you had to do was to shut down the PSU, boot the rig in OC failed mode, go into bios via F1 and save the bugger then all was back to normal...

This is not 100% the board to blame Thijs man... you messed up too here

Try popping the battery, or inverse it in the socket... and then try again.. hope you can revive her...

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

i didnt flash anything under LN2, only to try to fix the problem. either way, i think it's the cold or whatever. shut it down for 5min, worked for 15min again, but now it's failing once more.
And, oc failed mode? sorry, im not much of an instruction guide person

If you switch off the PSU when the board runs, normally after the first post it will tell you the Overclock Failed. It will require F1 to go into the bios... So enter the bios , quit and save, then the NB volts should be okay again... at least that worked all the time for my board...

But you got a corrupt bios now or not ? Or do you have the EC system halted screen ?

    Very nice man.

Now show us trcd 6 and ganged mode and you will be my hero.

Copy bandwidth is kinda low though, i assume it's due to ganged mode?

Yep due to ganged. Other than for bragging rights even trcd at 6 would still be useless.

The performance is hit is to large even at cas 6.

I went through a wide array of frequencies/timings charting performance, share the info when i'm ready.

Ufff, u are king man (its 1015 chip?)

MAD: right ...later i can try more than 4800 MHz, but this will hard way...with lower temps ok, but with normal, maybe 4820 MHz, no more
Second question to MAD, do u have my A-Data 2000x? How much voltages do u use for higher clocks? I had yesterday problems, i tried 1.7V 1800 MHz only and PC crash at only 4550 MHz (maybe, i forgot at ASUS CnQ and C1E disabled )

The CPU/NB VID bug was solved this morning. The BIOS is in qualification testing and will be released next week.

Let me pick your brain. When it does start working does it work until you put it under load or just works for 15min no matter how much load. When I say load lets say wprime all cores loaded.

Try and immediately put it under load for me and see if it crap out right away.

Yah week 15 chip but that was just my "good" core, was just testing out new bios. So far the PRO board has far more accurate cpu valids, no longer need to use the THG clock tool to figure out what my "real" speed is.

Hey chew, not sure man. i dont think it's replicable, just happened. weird though, i've had it 2 times now. i had the bios problem, didnt boot it for 5min, it worked ( although, worked ) , had 2/3 bsods at startup ( 5.5 - 5.7ghz ) and then i had the issue again. not sure, my insulation was fine i think

Why does this board overvolt so much under load with manual settings?
I have vcore set to 1.375v in bios but my dmm is reading 1.45v, nb\cpu is 1.2v in bios 1.25v with dmm, memory is 1.8v in bios 1.85v with dmm. The only voltages that stay where they are set is sb and nb. All the fluctuation makes it virtually impossible to stabilize anything especially when the clock speed wanders more then my mind.

Im hoping the next bios fixes this along with the wandering htt and dropping nb\cpu voltage.

Im kinda disappointed that i spent $250 to be a non paid bug finder. I have a very nice clocking 1055t so i hope asus gets their act together and releases a proper bios for the people that pay their wage.

    You sure?

I set 1.44Vcore and DMM reads 1.47V under load. Same for Vdimm, 1.625V in bios, 1.65V with DMM.
