Thx yeah I've been waiting for this to happen.
This is the latest shot i got, without a CPU-tweaker, but I add it under with same settings, just for you.

This is not final, just trying to get a feel of Uncore and VVT-need for this baby, and this looks promising, but still testing ..

    RAM x8
    Uncore x15
    @4.2GHz (221x19) 1.31v, VVT=1.32v

CPU-tweaker shot for the same setup.

Great news . I guess almost all MBs are going to unlock the Uncore now.

x16 Uncore makes X56xx to OC much better, and much more fun to play with.

That would make the day! That's actually there these CPUs will show their real muscles.

SR-2 retail probably comes with new microcode, but otherwise won't take long before getting, I think.

well maybe you can't share your bios but surely you can tell how you managed to obtain it...
after several months that bios is not yet out and rampage II extreme is still stuck with a locked multi

What stepping is your chip? B0 or B1?

I am pretty sure they have unlocked the uncore on the B1's but not the B0's so check that first.

am i reading ur screenshots right, higher multi equals more tdp? or was that idle then load? hehe.. Also can i suggest.. The xeon chips can run way higher imc frequency

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

just checked with the latest revision of cpu-z an dit 's a B1 rev.
Something weird happens. I tested the cpu with an EVGA sr-2 with A46 bios and when i change the value of the uncore multi in the bios it wonėt show the edited value in cpu-z in windows but it seems that anyway it is changed
Infact if i set 16 x uncore multi in bios it won't boot, while if i go down to 12x it would boot and be stable.
On the RIIE with 1802 bios, changing the value of uncore multi not only doesn't lead to cpu-z reading the edited value in win7 but also doesn't effectively change it, so it is an even worst than sr-2 situation. So it would be nice if you enlightened us on the procedure you followed to obtain that 1910 beta bios

This is the first time i am disappointed by this wonderful Asus mb

that sonds like a faulty cpu or a constantly overheated one...1.35 is still within Intel specs for vcore/vtt and consider you should have some vdrop,so a death of too high vcore seems unlikely in your case

Sensors on Westmere ES are known for being off, but it varies a good deal depending on the chip. My A0's on SR-2 are not showing a biug difference tho.

Yes that thing about sensors is true , but most of the times it is the way tim is applied and or pressure of the HS on the die.
    Anyway that's a good BCLCK
did you try some serious cpu stress testing (like IBT maxed out)?
