    For the cost savings, I'd say stay away.

    MSI P55M-GD41 board ($100)
    Core i7-860 chip ($280)
    2x1GB or 2x2GB DDR3 1333 ram ($50-100)
    Cheapest graphics card <-- perhaps a G92 or a RV670/770 ($20-80)
    USB flash drive instead of HDD ($15)
    Corsair 400CX or Antec 380W ($40-60)
    Cardboard box or Antec 4482/similar chassis ($0-60)
