Thanks everybody for the info so far
Sorry, this is my first LCS
OKAY! Breaking out of the template, here goes! I changed the AI Overclock Tuner from the X.M.P. Profile --> Manual and then set:
BCLK: 144
CPU Ratio: 31 (4462 MHz)I think I wanna shoot for the *Intel 4.5GHz LinX Stable Club*
DRAM Freq: 2020 MHz
UCLK Freq: 3032 MHz
CPU Volt: 1.375
QPI/DRAM Volt: 1.40
From what I've learned here, I also have (and had previously):
Load-Line Calibration: Enabled
C1E Support: Disabled
Intel C-State: Disabled
Virtualization: Disabled
Intel HT Tech: Disabled (for now)
SpeedStep: Disabled (for now)
So with this, I ran the P95 "Small FFT (ram not tested much)" for 10 minutes stable with a single core only maxing out at 56C (Ambient=27C). Gonna continue trying to increase the CPU Ratio more from here....
** is this best P95 Torture Test to use or is it better to use the "In Place FFT (some RAM tested)" or "Blend (lots of RAM tested)"? I was thinking if I'm just trying to achive the highest possible OC, what would be the point of testing the RAM so much....
======> The next thing I tried was increasing the CPU Ratio to 32 (4608 MHz) and it froze and gave me the vertical bars on the screen before Windows loads. Any thoughts on what to try next based on my above manual settings... Raising the QPI/DRAM Voltage a little perhaps?
Thanks guys!
