That freq. looks almost like a SingleStage/DICE result!
Thanks BeepBeep2, yeah I been having problems with hard locks at different speeds usually when I try to start CPU-z. So I’m not sure what the problem is for sure sometimes I think turbo mode is restarting and increases the CPU speed so far out of range that the system hard locks. Yeah, this Thuban responds even better to cold than my 965-C3 did.

Oh BTW, although LLC is enabled (which will usually make for a higher CPU voltage in windows) 1.58V is the CPU voltage I have set in the bios for that 3D06 run @4.75GHz.

lol, yeah I've completed 32m Pi runs only to have it lock up when you hit printscreen on the result
Thanks THOMO.

Thanks EQ, I’d be looking for a newer week Thuban if I was to start over again as this one I have was produced in week 08 and the IMC isn’t that strong. This one clocks up ok though.

I’d say with your chiller being a little better than mine you should better my scores easy. The problem I'm having right now with the Crosshair III is turbo mode, I can disable it in the bios but it isn’t always disabled after Windows is loaded. Good Luck my friend.

Thanks crazydiamond, the Thuban is a good processor IMHO.

The problem is this board's support for it is terrible.
It has AGESA 3.6.9.0 which allows the chip to run, but overclocking in BIOS is completely broken. Any BIOS settings to overclock the CPU don't take effect.
It needs AGESA 3.7.0.0 in order for BIOS overclocking to work at all.

The only way I can overclock is in Windows using AMD Overdrive.
In order to change the multiplier at all I need to enable then disable Turbo.
Even with that, the multiplier simply will not go higher than 20X.
If I try and set it to 20.5 or 21X for example, the cores still all show 4GHz @ 200HTT and simply will not go higher.

Also, there is a strange issue when I set HTT speeds higher.
If I put it to say 210HTT x 20 = 4200MHz, which is confirmed in CPU-Z, 3Dmark06 CPU tests slow right down in the middle of them, and I only get ~4500 CPU score.

And so far I can't get my GPU scores as high as I did with my 965 @ 4242MHz
Apokalipse are you using an Asus Crosshair III or another MB?
