Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 - ya know i played with the new Image Stabilized 17-50mm and i wasnt that impressed.
sure is f/2.8 throughtout the zoom but the stabilizer wasnt that great and i really didnt think it was that sharp. its F/2.8 afterall its going to be fairly sharp.
and for almost $700 i want to cream my jeans when i see the images that it produces and all i did was pass a little gas.

slrgear.com has it rated sooo sharp that you would be hard pressed to find a lens that they claim is this sharp.

but your picture is pretty good and congrats on the little guy! - (p.s. you really shouldnt stick your baby into a white box to get a picture lol )
