Does anyone know if the Bios versions after 1303 offer a memory divider between 133 and 166? That would be very helpful for me now.
IIRC there weren't any new memory dividers added to the official BIOS - no 3:4 ratio if that's what you're asking. IDK about unofficial ones (if any), I never use them.
What are you clocking that you'd need the 150 divider ...?

im using this board with a amd fx-60 overclocked to about 3.2 ghz. 4 gigs of ram and 2 geforce 8800gts 320mb video cards watercooled.
so heres the thing. i want to put some spunk back into this old girl. so what would be the best upgrade for this system besides a new build. i was thinking a new video card. but would a new video card bottleneck the system?
go to this thread to see what my usual overclock looks like and please tell my the best route to go. i just dont want to spend alot of money and build a new computer im waiting about 4 years to build another http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=451552

I don't think this mobo can handle socket 940 processors.
Oops! I'll delete my post - thought I was in the M3A32 threadand I really should have known better since he was talking about an FX-60.

well guys i found a good deal online for geforce 250 gts 2gb for 100 bucks. so i bought 2 of them,
so do you think these will run ok with this board and a fx-60 overclocked to 3.2ghz. and 4 gigs of ram.

You've sort of future proofed your graphics cards but I really think you're going to be bottlenecked unfortunatelyI hope I'm wrong though.

do you think waterblocks from a geforce 8800gts will work on these cards?

No, and you probably won't see an improvement with the new cards. Your CPU is a bottleneck. I ran a 5600+ @ 3.4 and I know it's a bottleneck. I was running a 4850 and frame rates skyrocketed when I got my Phenom II 965. You were better off with a new motherboard and CPU. Those 8800 GTS weren't too bad in SLI...
You are running a way overkill PSU, way overkill GPU's, CM HAF932?, 4 gigs ram and a slow as heck CPU+RAM. Not really slow as heck but nowadays...it's about 1/8th the performance of a stock 1055T.

yea i wanted the new cards becuase of the memory. my geforce cards are only 320mb ram. im thinking about building a quick rig around those two cards i just bought. any ideas. all i need is a cpu motherboard and some ram

You can go cheap and run an Athlon II 630 in a cheapie AM2+ board with DDR2 RAM ($250) or you can go hog-wild (for an AMD system) and run a 1090T, Crosshair IV, and DDR3-2000 RAM ($700). What's you're price range, maybe we can narrow that down ...?

hopefully i can unlock the 2 cores on that cpu and overclock it. i have a good watercooled set up right now so every thing will fall into place.
i think this is a good 500 upgrade of a system compared to the one i have now in my sig.

Also im getting 2 of the memory and 2 of the video cards. i have my 850w power supply and a good case for this. ill just use my old system for well ill use it for what ever. its still a good old 2006 system.

Personally, I'd spend a little more for CAS 7 RAM or, if you can't afford it, go with DDR3-1333 CAS 7 RAM. With AMD it's almost always better to run tight timings than fast speeds.
I would also suggest an AMD chipset over nVidia. The 790X chipsets have a great OC'ing history and cost about the same. nVidia has definitely fallen behind over the past two generations (AM2 & AM3) when it comes to OC'ing. I do admit, though, you cannot run SLI with an AMD chipset but a single nVidia card is fine ...

yea but the thing is i wanted to base a build around those 2 cheap cards. when you start going bigger you go BIG and before you know it the shopping chart has over 1500 dollars worth of parts in it. i just wanted to spend around 500 bucks for the main parts i have every thing else. so i think these parts will hopefully do fine. i mean i cant complain right now with the build i have. i built it back in 2006 it was almost top of the line back then. i can still play all the new games but my cpu just bottlenecks my system and i cant play the games at a max setting. well i hope this goes well. btw the cpu will be watercooled and overclocked hopefully unlocked if im lucky.

You can get 50% better ram for $30 more though...that ram sucks.
