WOW! You made my day. I have an ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe. I really hope it passes qualification (I can't imagine it won't). BTW, I'm a Houstonian as well. I'll buy you a beer if I can get my hands on that beta BIOS .

I wonder if my Foxcon A7DA-S will get support? The board has served me well and I have reason to move to a AM3 board or DDR3

I may just swap my board to an AM3 board *890FX* with Thuban

This list makes me so mad.

K9A2 CF works, but K9A2 Plat doesn't? both have SB600. I guess MSI wants me to buy 790FX or 890FX GD-70 board.

    Asrock supported list is here

BUT, it seems this is an incomplete list. When I emailed them to ask why my aod790gx isn't on that list, they quickly emailed me back with a new bios (1.81) that currently isn't anywhere to be found on their website.

I'm guessing the list of boards that support thuban will eventually include all boards that can run phem II.

I recieved an email from MSI finally....

    Dear Charles,

Thank you for contacting MSI Technical Support. Regarding your concern, there will be bios update for new Phenom II x6 processor in the future, so please refer to MSI website to get bios update later.

Thanks for your cooperation in advance!

    Best regards,

This is in relation to the K9A2 Platinum mobo.

My question for everyone would obviously be, will is be bus speed limited on this board (790FX / SB600)

I've been following this thread in hopes of seeing my M3A78 Pro get a BIOS update.

Well, I contacted ASUS Support this morning and got some depressing news.

I'm following this up with a flat request to technical support because it doesn't match up with what's been said in this thread(at least one other M3A getting validation tests), but I figured this would be some important info to share.

The follow-up to that previous conversation:

    So back to square one.

If I could go back in time, I would have given that previous rep a lower rating for how she phrased things.

    I've got: UT 790fx M2r,JR 790gxM2rs,Asus M3a,and MSI K9a2 somewhere.
I think DFI AM2+ boards will be supported.

anyone have any updates for Foxcon?
I`ve contacted them, and they replied that theyre getting hardware for certification and bios updating, so it seems am2+ board will be updated.
Foxconn is terribly slow with their work on AMD tho, they have only beta bios for 965 C3 ...

Any bios modders here ? From what i gather cpu microcode part must be updated for thubans to at least boot, but that would be something at least.

you'll prolly get it before a79a-s users. we haven't had a working bios made in a year (p08 is quite busted).
