Hey Rise, like others I got my account validated today. Great job on the video and I'm sure you'll get the 500! I also went ahead and spread the word to a couple of my friends and my wife so hopefully we can get even more word of mouth going. Keep it up

    Greetings, Rise!

I used to run Folding@Home at some point, but after one reinstall or another I didn't set it up again. I have no reason not to crunch, though, and you give a rather compelling reason to do crunch, so here I am.

I've been watching all of your SC2 commentaries with interest. I'm a big fan of the original Starcraft universe, especially Terrans, quoting units and enjoying their sound tracks, but I have never dared step into the arena of competitive Starcraft. Well, I did try once, but after my record got to 0 win 15 losses nobody even wanted to play anymore. I might try harder with SC2, though, it looks very fun and even easier to learn!

I decided to mimick you and put my computer specs in my signature. Mine's in pink, however! Yes, pink, that's my favorite color, I don't care about what anyone says about it and I'll probably play a pink Terran in SC2! Go pink!

Aaaaat last my account gets validated!
Signed up a day or so ago after watching your video, and been happily crunching away since. Love the commentaries, most entertaining shoutcaster by far (i demand you do more drunken casts though).

I was going to try and oveclock a bit to squeeze some extra PPD, but when i checked my cpu was already running at 100°C at about 80% load... yeah...

A quick attack with the vacuum cleaner got rid of some dust and dropped the temperature by over 20°C (there was A LOT of dust). Still, at about mid day when it gets warm i'm hitting up to 85°C, but i can live with this. Really wish i hadn't kept the stock cooler now, it really does suck ass. At least i should save some money on the heating bills.

    Hey! I finally can post!

Just leaving this message by to confirm that yes, I am part of this community now and will give my cpu power for the good cause Its a pretty computer by any standard (a single core), but even the little bits help

I tried to spread this a little bit but I was... surprised by the reactions. Even my mother assaulted me with skepticism and I could not get any friends to care about this because of that. I'll still try to bring people in, but I have no idea how some people can have so much doubts over this.

Anyhow! Again Rise, you really touched me with this and I felt like I should be doing this, just to try and make a difference somewhere where it matters. And I'm far from the alone!

I understand it was hard to post the video, but you know it was worth it

Know the feeling lol, before i upgraded i was running a single core A64 3200+ with a ~30% OC, when i got my current system i didnt even consider overclocking, it was just lightspeed compared to what i was used to.

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attn. Rise! My Uncle has cancer and I never knew I could do something like this to help out. I spent more than I should have on my gaming comp and now I can finally put it to good use.

    Hey Rise,

I've joined, installed, and have it running. I'll try to keep it up as much as i can. Always enjoyed your commentaries so this was the least i could do to repay you.

I go by SeedFreedom everywhere else pretty much, including Youtube, and worldcommunitygrid, but it seemed to be taken here, but that's fine.
