What do you think, does this ruin the look?? At first I thought the bubbles in the seam (weld joint) would be unseen when mounted in the case....but now I realize that you can see it through the frame.

PS: sorry about the small cropped photo...size was an issue.

PPS: anyone know a good image reducer?

    Hope that's not anti-freeze in that T3!!!

Edit: DTR, can you please edit you photo, it's the first post on the page, stretches it for no good reason. Please I can't really see the bubbles your talking about. Thanks.
Photo removed and no, its not anti-freeze - just was a crappy photo - will redo later.

Brutal Lexan FTW! Make's me not ever want to touch acrylic again, especially for a res.
I guess case windows, DD cases, and such, it is still good, but the stuff is down right fragile compared to the polycarb, or POM!

I have my new T3 running all by itself in the garage using a stand alone power supply. In the loop I have just a T3 and a DD GTX240 and its been running 24/7 for 2 weeks now since I got the replacement ( pics on page 60 of this thread ) and I haven't had any leaks or cracks yet. I'm going to give it another week and throw it into my case. I'll just make sure its on the bottom of my drive bays so if it does leak it will be minimal damage. The first one did leak on me and it wasn't pretty.

Wow...now that you (I) know the difference...why would anyone ever touch acrylic again...it should follow the dodo.

WOW - some dorkfish on another forum thought I meant this literally. Hint: Thermaltake makes H20 blocks that leak like crazy . . . .

Just so you guys do not get the wrong idea.

Have you contacted him lately? Mine started to leak last week (original design) and he's shipping me Rev. A today. I purchased the typhoon direct from primochill.

In Nov 6 of 2009 I had recieved a new rma Primochill Typhoon III do to defects of the older version ,Brian from Primochill had helped me get replaced with a updated version. Its been 5 months and I have had not any problems till today , as I saw some water on the front , went to wipe down with a towel and it seems a hairline crack has opened around the left plug from above and below... sending them a rma request I hope they have a newer version , cuase i really like how it works

Just wanted to up this up to see how this was going on.

I picked mine up a few days ago, set it up today and seems good.

Came with a few defects, but I believe this is normal, no leaks as of yet.

No more steel fittings included... all plastic now. Maybe I'll get a pic up later, but looks good so far. Hopefully it'll last a while.

Well, I spoke too soon. I have yet to receive my T3. Left phone messages and e-mails with no response from the company.

Add another to the cracked from left port count. goes right across and into frame on right side.

This is a rev A so what happened to all the talk of these Pro's in CA

It suxs to love a design so much you want to ignore the flaws (manufacturing)...but I would suggest others hold off till confirmation that new versions are holding their own. Kills me to say it

I think the left port is out of spec. I had some difficulty getting a fitting not to leak there. I used a little more force than I was comfortable doing but it didn't help. Finally I used a different o-ring and it sealed up.

Let us know how primochill responds. They still owe me the correct version, w/top fillport. Bleeding this thing without isn't fun - especially when tubes slide off the ghost comp fittings so easily.
    upgrading...

Can you post a pic of the crack? Also, when did you get it and how long have you been running it before the crack appeared?

At first, lots of contact (emails) but then dead silence -no replacement, no Eta and no response to my request for followup.

Had it installed days before I noticed what I thought was a machining/tooling mark from the left port - later realized it was a hairline crack which just continued to spread. Was running my machine in a giant casserole dish, but had to take my machine down for fear of a leak to flood event that ruins other components.
