GTX 480's were in stock and out of stock in 30 seconds....

LOL, Yesterday Newegg had on and off stock of a few different brands of GTX 480's. They sold out like in 30 seconds on each one that appeared.....Insane...I was quick on the draw and got 2 of the Gigabyte ones..... Did anyone see this on Newegg? Plus the prices for the cards on Ebay are getting retarded.....

Didn't read all the posts, so I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the out of stock problem is not related to supply but rather a last minute BIOS revision before the rest of the initial supply is distributed. The revision is primarily to change the fan profile to ramp up more efficiently on both the 470 and the 480. In bench testing one of the staff at Bjorn said he saw 10c lower temps on the 480 vs the 470 with the revision. They are waiting to get more 470s in to test though. So far they've only gotten one from PNY.

470 is coming tomorrow. If you want to reserve your place in line, Fry's is still taking preorders for the GTX4x0 cards. I talked to them about a week ago and the EVGA GTX470 was only backordered by 3 or so, so if you order now there's a good chance you will get one from the next shipment.
    Regards,
    Chris

I received my EVGA GTX 480 today from NewEgg, MSI Afterburner beta all screwed up with the Shader and GPU numbers! My GPU core shows 1848MHz, Shder at 810MHz and Memory at 401MHz, Guru was able to access the Vcore voltage with the beta but I seem to be having trouble with this half a$$ MSI Afterburner showing absurd impossible numbers! I would love to be able to OC my new card!

    Regards,
    Systemlord.
