Oh crap, I think the extension thing its not going to work, i've checked in Frozen CPU and all the things I need its worth $100+ only the extensions w/o the shipping now with the shipping to my country that its gonna be like a lot more and for me thats too much money. I mean i will pay that for the MDPC-X sleeve but for some cable extensions? Any other idea or other place where the extensions dont go that high? I was thinking of buying the connectors and take the cables from the old generic PSU i have all around my house.. will that work?

    Thanks in advance!!!

Just make your own. Order a spool of 20gauge (or w/e is used) wire, and crimpers (I think their $15-20) is the expensive parts. You can get the pins to crimp on (along with the crimper, I think you get some in a kit when you buy the crimper) from NILS, and get the 6/8/24-pin connectors from frozencpu or whereever

Thanks, i'm gonna look for the 20 gauge wire locally and order the conectors, that way if i have spare (mostly I will) i can make extensions for my other computers as well or save them for another experiment

Use 18 or 16 AWG, anything less (ie bigger number) is too thin IMO.

I'd check to see what gauge they are, I'm guessing 18/20/22 range
And you can get cheaper cimpers, but as with all of nils products, they're the best haha

Yea i was actually thinking of buying the crimper along with the sleeve . As for the wire i'll get a quote locally, most likely thats the way i'm gonna take to make sure I dont void my PSU warranty because here the 1000HX its close to the $400 USD

18AWG for the usual ATX connectors (20/24 pin power, pciE, 4 pin for CPU, 8pin for CPU, etc), molex and sata power cables too

    26AWG for 3-pin fans

Try chilledpc.co.uk for extensions...they are cheaper and shipping is way way way cheaper than ppcs or any of the other US based stores. I got mine from there...good quality stuff and great service.

Thanks i'm gonna check it to see if i can buy the conectors from them, as for the extensions i'm gonna buy the wire locally and make them myself just to assure that the lenght is nice and since the wire is all black all the sleeved cables should look the same

Hi! I have a question regarding sleeving somewhat... but it's more related to electric. I was sleeving my PSU, specifically the 8-pin power for the CPU. I removed the old heatshrink, pulled up the sleeve and marked each cable with masking tape so as to preserve the original order. Long story short, I think I might have swapped two of the 12V's, and maybe two of the grounds (a 12V for another 12V, ground for another ground mind you!) Does it really matter?

    Thanks a bunch
