You are like.. The first one who says he likes the evga plate. I'm actually thinking of doing a cherryblossom tree or something instead.

Thank you, It's actually a friend of mine who's done the sleeving.

It's a nice "feature" atleast. I'm glad it's an "addon" and that you don't have to buy it separate.

    An update c'min up!

There's more pictures, but they're frankly to big to post here. I'm probably post the thumbnails if you want to see them. Or you visit this thread, http://www.techsweden.org/forum/view...22779&start=60 it's in swedish so I don't really take it as an competitor of XS.

    REMOVED DUE TO BROKEN MIRROR

Am I to use red hosing or should I change to black?

Thank you Coolingstuff.se for the enermax Magma.. Now I just need 8 more and I'm out of funds. :'( I would like to change fittings to matte black Bitspower to. Ey Enermax and Bitspower! Give me some love and I'll spam you all over the net as my sponsor. :rolling:

Wow!! You managed to find a new vintage Lian Li V1000B Plus II.

From the way I look at your rig, there's a lot more watercooling potential. You could add another 120.2 rad on the top to WC your GFX. You could even shift your current rad to the top and get 2 stackable Swiftech 120.2 for 120.6 to cool your CPU, GPU, chipset and mosfet.

I am thinking about cutting up the top and adding an 3x120 as I currently do have a.. What is it called? Rad-Grill for one. Tho I'm not fond of changing the exterior to much, It's a vintage case afterall. ^^,

I'm also thinking of cooling the GPU, tho probably if I manage to get the hold of 1 or 2 more GFX's. I love the stock cooling on this one and it is fairly cool and quiet.

I didn't quite get the last part, probably cause my lack of english skills.. 2 stackable 120.2? So you serialmount them or something? That would be awsome. To bad I'm out of funds, I mean really out of funds (that much that I'm thinking of selling this thing if I can't finish it..) I am e-mailing bitspower and enermax about some sponsorship, not sure if that's the right way to do it but hey, atleast I can't get less than a no and If they allow I'll be able to atleast finish it enough.

That would be perfect Phil. :O I do have a lot of unused space @ the 5.25". Could you please link me to your rig? If you have it for show here on the forums.

Like I said, lots of cooling potential.

I had lots of headache squeezing 2 x 120.1 and 1 x 120.2 rads in my rig, but I still have a fair bit of space left in the lower deck.

Nice build you got there. Going to be hard to fit my 6 HDDs and my radiator if I'm going to do bout the same as you. But I've been thinking of using an 1x120 rad in the back.

Love the build, I think your cpu tubing is kinked though, may be the lighting but looks kinked in every photo.

That double rad is sick, would look nice.

Thanks... My current configuration can support only up to 3 HDDs.

You need to ensure there's sufficient clearance from your GFX card to mount a rear 120mm rad.

It is kinked. It's a sience to get that exactly right.. I also did the current tubing when you actually shouldn't do anything within your computer. At a LAN, with aprox 4h sleep on 48h. Didn't manage to get that bend exactly right, tho it's kinked it's actually not restricted in anyway. I'm gonna re do that one when I'm refreshed and when I have sunlight instead of some crappy yellowtinted lamp.

I'm more concern about keeping the system clean than keeping it cool, tho it's actually quite cool. Not going to be able to cool an GFX on top of MB and CPU with current setup tho.

Maybe for the kink use a 90 degree and a 45 degree instead of dual 45s?
Signatures make my posts look huge... but I'm not humble enough to completely remove my signature, so I kept this note explaining it.

Don't like the fesser 90 degree fittings. The only ones I own atm. It also more stylish to use a 45 degree fitting there. Atleast that's what I think.

I've managed to have it like that without having it kinking. But it's a millimetre +/-. Also I'm thinkin that I might need to cut the hoses with a slight angle. I'm going to check into it some more when I have the possibility.

Liking this build. A few comments ...

    1) On your CPU tubing - it "might" actually work better to avoid the 45s and just do a straight up and down loop - would probably work with smaller tubing, but maybe not the 3/4" OD you are using. Obviously, you can solve this if you water cool the GPU.

    2) I like the red tubing - black might not stand out enough (but sure it would look good).

    3) I like the idea of the EVGA plate - but it would look better if the letters were cut out more precisely.

Nice Job - this is my favorite case.

    1. The tubing lenght need to be exactly right for it not to kink. I have to use 45s on the CPU block, and I actually like how it looks with 45s all over. I'm going to work something out. ^^

    2. You don't think it's a little to much red in case with red hoses? I'm not sure yet what I think about it.

    3. It totally would. But it's just there to show the idea of the 5.25" plate. Probably going to make something more artistic instead of doing free marketing for evga. ^^,

Gotcha, iHannes - and, I agree - no since in doing free marketing for others It is a great idea, though.

I don't think the red tubing is too much. I think it stands out against the black case. And, I forgot to mention - the Magma fan looks perfect.

Curious if you ever had a TRUE 120 on that motherboard in that case?

I have the same case but with EVGA x58 LE motherboard and TRUE won't fit vertically by just a bit.

It appears that on the x58 Classified version the CPU socket might be slightly higher (when inverted)?

Shazza, can we start a Lian Li club in this subforum to consolidate all projects under this casing brand?

A bit OT but I like the Idea. I'm also think that Lian Li systems are the most interesting to see and read about.

I like the red tubing actually, which I usually don't like red colored tubing, but it seems to go great with your build.

I do agree with swapping out the EVGA panel, I don't mind advertising, especially for EVGA, but the lettering just throws off the look.

I use brushed aluminum when I want to cover up bay areas like that, it would go well with your Lian Li as well, since they use the best brushed aluminum for their cases.

You can get aluminum sheet for really cheap from http://www.diamondlifegear.com/brushedaluminum.htm.

You'll have to brush it yourself with sand paper(which is fairly easy, I do it all the time), but I think it would look very good as your 5.25 bay panel.

As for the kink, keep testing the lengths, but if you want some help, PM Malik, he's the man when it comes to short tube bends.

If you like the red tubing in my build when you usually don't then it's a fact. Red tubing works with my rig!

I could probably get aluminium sheets from somewhere in sweden to. Tho I lack the skills and tools to work with any material. But I guess I have to learn it some day if I'm gonna impress anyone in this forum. ^^, It would also probably look darn nice! In fact it would look really awesome.

I'll manage to fix the kink myself, tho Malik is really good and it shows.

Seems like I've some trouble with the host of my pictures so I repost some of them that I've have with an other host. So here's some pictures from before:

Pictures from when I first took the step into the awesome world of Lian Li. And I kind of brutalized it, almost raped it.

With some hardware upgrades it did get somewhat better. But there was still long to go. Actually here i thought it was an awesome build. Now I'm not as convinced. :P

Now I'm beginning to get somewhere in this project and once again I'm upgrading some hardware. Here's I'm putting an EK Classified fullcover motherboard block on my newly purchased Evga Classified 760. I were @ my friends house while doing this. Mainly because I'm usually there and he also got the main tools for working with a PC and also a steadier hand then me. So he's been a great asset while building this Rig. I myself suffers from some kind of extreme-oldman shaky hands syndrome (Not stated by a doctor tho).

So.. Let's strip that motherboard shall we?

    Now lets start the pr0n-show.

And this is the result of 5000$ but I'm not finished quite yet.

I've got a fan from a swedish LC supplier because he thought I should get rid of the noctua to follow the color-scheme. He was right. Exhaust fan sponsored by Coolingstuff.se

HDD's moved 1-2 inches to the front of the case to fit an HX750. Made possible by mounting the frontfan between the black exterior of the case and the silver internal.

The EK multioption 250 Reservoar mounted ontop of my Laing DDC-1t 18w. Fits because it's upside down which makes it possible to have the intake on the side of the reservoar while still having it in the top of it. Resulting in what I think a much cleaner finish and hosing. It's almost completely hidden but it's nice to know it's done correctly and clean.

Another fitting, I think it's from Feser.

    And some ending pics.

    Sponsors up to date:

I got some plans that need to be set in motion. For starters I'm going to powdercoat the whole case, internal and external with a matte black finish. I'm also thinking of ditching the plexi and run with aluminumplates instead for the bottom and 5.25". And also make some kind of shroud for the radiatorfans so it doesnt look so empty inside the 5.25". Kinda hard to explain and I've never used any sketchup software.

In the next update you'll see some upclose pictures of a total of 9 Enermax Magmas as I change fans from noctua to Enermax Magma. Thank you Enermax for sponsoring me with 8 Enermax Magmas!
