Anand becomes weirder and weirder as the time comes with way he reviews things.
Apple has pretty much ONE hardware platform to optimize too, android is pretty much hardware detached. So its obvious software is WAY more optimized.
He is comparing a tablet to a phone.
He does not have a clue what cpu REALLY is there in this thing,he does not have any comparable metric between two CPUS (not platforms).
This whole piece could be written in a single sentence."iPad loads pages a lil faster than nexus phone."
In recent years Anand transforms to a fanboy type of guy.He loves his macs, on his nehalem intel cpus.
He gets really excited about "what would new iphone bring", as it would be some kind of revolution, although its pretty much known its gonna be incremental upgrade. He does not mind apple practices in regard to pretty much anything.
Guy has too much time or too much money ,or both.

I don't think there is anything wrong with trying to compare the chip inside the iPad and the chip inside the Nexus One. The chip inside the iPad is pretty much made to eventually go into phones and I think the next iPhone will have the same A4 chip as is used in the iPad. It would normally be unfair to compare a table to a phone, but in this case the tablet has much more in common to a phone than what's normally the case. The people claiming that the iPad is one giant iPod Touch aren't far from the truth.

    1. Size/speed ratio on the iPad.... well, it better be damn well faster considering how big it is.
    2. Which one is faster at flash? Fail, Apple, fail.

No, the iPad is so incredibly fast in Flash that the Flash elements on the page appear to not even load. It's just to fast for us. That's a feature of the iPad.

Yes, it's much funner to stare at the little "blue brick", who wants to watch videos and play games?

It probably renders flash at over 9000 FPS, they have to stop flash from showing otherwise the screen will break...

Slightly more on topic, I must say Apple really has bought out the press regarding the iPad. Reviewers who got it early (and tried it at the press event) went from saying "The keyboard is terrible, the curved back fails" to "The keyboard is amazing! The contoured back makes it.... good!".
