Kidding aside, I'm still trying to figure out AMD's marketing strategy. Right after they release a new line of products, they almost immediately begin hyping something that is 6-12 months away. I don't see how this can do anything but hurt sales of current product. It's not like consumers are going to rush out and upgrade to one of their current high end chips when they know there is a far bigger jump in performance if they can just hold off a few more months.
... and to preempt the fanboy attacks. A simple look at AMD's revenue/expenditure streams easily backs up my claim that they need to fire their marketing team.
