I have no idea who is on my friends list or why they got there, sorry. My issue with fanboys is when they show up to crap in threads, like you tend to do. If people are doing the same in threads I don't read then I'm proably not going to see it. So keep trying, you'll come up with a valid point eventually.

yep thats what happens at forums which only cater to one side of things.

thats why i buy exclusively from both AMD and intel,which allows me to have 100% fun.

im just so glad that i dont game and only use my computers for OCing,therefor only use an old HD3450
and dont spend much time in graphics card threads and have to deal with(which i can only assume) rampant
fanboy fighting going on between ATI and Nvidea camps.fanboy fights between AMD and Intel is already too much
for me.

As i see it, the act committed by the fellas at amdzone is libelous... and if JF wanted, they'd be buried neck deep in doggy do-do. He is there on forums to get some wins for him and his company... in return we get valuable and accurate information which is a win-win for all of us concerned here...

No disrespect, but you seem to be blaming him for perhaps what is part of his role within the organization. He only shared information which makes the products by the company, the company and himself look good, but that in itself is fairly agreeable and not something we don't see in everyday life. "Buyer beware" is the principle this market has been working on for some years since, people rigging benchmarks, artificially slowing down competition (like dear ol' Intel did with its instruction set and is in deep with the FTC) et all has been rampant.

umm, mr. wannabe lawyer, can you cite what tort action would that be?
filing a "lawsuit" requires you know more than to spell "libel."
cite me relevant u.s. case law, if you're so adept.

i can see we're still griefing and crying over this.
it's april 2 evening, and the matter has been handled amicably by the parties involved yesterday morning.

There is nothing wrong talking about something. What's wrong is that most of the members there are subjective, biased and ignorant, blind followers of whatever their beloved company makes. Or shortly most of the members are fanboys and trolls spreading FUD.

When a April Fools prank goes too far!

Early this morning I posted a bogus AMD review. Apparently the review was too believable despite the numerous factual errors already refuted by public knowledge. I hereby accept full responsibility for the article, I have taken the article down to avoid any more confusion. I did it because sincerely I thought that "Imitation is the sincerest flattery" C.C.Colton (1780 -1832) So i created an imitation article.

When the dust settles and the real unit is release I might be fun to see how close or far we were. Until then the Article will remain locked.

I would like to make a special apology to John, for dropping his name in the attempt to be more believable. I did not mean to cause him additional strife. He had no knowledge of my actions and is not responsible for anything I have posted.

I guess nothing, it's acceptable in prime time tv, maybe I checked if it's acceptable in here. I wouldn't mind MM giving me an infraction for it, but savantu's been derailing amd threads since forever.

Kidding aside, I'm still trying to figure out AMD's marketing strategy. Right after they release a new line of products, they almost immediately begin hyping something that is 6-12 months away. I don't see how this can do anything but hurt sales of current product. It's not like consumers are going to rush out and upgrade to one of their current high end chips when they know there is a far bigger jump in performance if they can just hold off a few more months.

... and to preempt the fanboy attacks. A simple look at AMD's revenue/expenditure streams easily backs up my claim that they need to fire their marketing team.
