Look at the bottom of the list Evga Superclocked!
Wonder if that'll be the 725/1050 card? Also look at the prices with Asus and their supposedly 50% increase with voltage card lol.

They are on top with single GPU and SLI, of course this isn't 100% fact yet but it might be today with reviews. They just aren't on top with a large margin and IMO that's better for us as I didn't want to pay 650 per card.
If it turns out to be 20% faster and 5870 is $420 then add 20% to that is $504 so GTX 480 seems priced right to me, add to the fact Fermi is a more advanced technology. They are late, they had problems but they aren't price gouging this time, if the performance is at least 15-20% range.

speculating here ..... if the gtx480 has 480 shader and the 470 448 how many will the 460 have and any indication on price ???? pure guess ????
since nvidia might get those ready by august or september ill be in the market for either crossfire or sli rig .... so why not go with 2 of those right ... unless ati's offering seems more appealing ..... or should i totally wait for a shrink and grab a gtx570

Wow, that would just piss everybody off.....NVIDIA was planning to launch GeForce GTX 400 series on March 26. This meant that it would launch a new graphics circuit architecture on a Friday, which is quite unusual. The reason is because NVIDIA was planning to show its GeForce GTX 400 series during the LAN Party PAX 2010, but it looks like the plans has changed. Even if it hasn't been entirely decided yet NVIDIA is expected to go through with the launch event of the GeForce GTX 400 series March 26 at PAX 2010, but there won't be any benchmarks. Specifications and prices will be revealed, but the media embargo with complete benchmarks and such won't be until March 29th, Monday the week following PAX. During the same week NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470 will be available in stores and ready for deliveries. The latest information speak of April 6th, but we wouldn't exclude that you will be able to get cards sooner.
I wonder when we are going to see the cheaper mid ranged Fermi cards......anybody?

this ish.... please leak some benchy someone....
GTX 570? Well as the saying goes "you can wait forever" there's always going to be newer and better just on the horizon and if you want the latest and greatest you'll pay a premium for it, only then you won't have outdated hardware for a little while.
For me I try to get what I can when I can and then do my best to sell it off used when it is still worth a decent amount of money.

People signed a NDA, already received cards, and supposedly the NDA ends today (Friday) 26th @ 7:01pm EST so unless they are adding an addendum to the NDA then I'd be posting my review anyway and ignoring any emails or calls from Nvidia saying otherwise. That's just me though![]()

$485 GeForce GTX 480 from a well known e-retailer. If those leaked benchmarks are correct, I can safely say that this card is worth $100 more than a 5870, maybe even more.

PNY is usually cheapest it seems, they appear to run 100% reference / stock design. While it is questionable if the $20-$50 premium is worth it for a company like Evga or BFG that sells the OC and Superclocked models both of those companies have a really good rep, usually hassle free RMAs, both have 90-100 day upgrade program (never used it though) If the GPU wasn't going in my PC I'd get a PNY but for me personally I want a bit more.

Well I think it's now safe to say, that if anyone actually wants one, they had better order them now and take the price gouging up the poop shoot, because these are going to be rare. All but the largest retailers, etailers and AIB's are going to get shafted on allocation.
I feel absolutely no need to be politically correct. For a card that's essentially on the middle ground between a $400 and a $700 card, a $500 price point should be justified for pretty much everybody who has the money.

First please show me where you see price gouging, next please show me where you have evidence of "shafted on allocation" when the only thing I find is this article which is contrary to your statement.

Seriously? That's the only thing you can find? Well, there's plenty of evidence if you read forum's around the net. There's even members in this thread that have participated in some of them. Even if that article by Theo is true, it looks like it probably means that nv has been stock piling launch allocation and as soon as that limited volume runs dry, the waiting will begin.... and not end for quite some time.
So if you want one you should probably order while you can, or you'll risk going without.
