    iHannes h2o projekt - Cl[M]ean-Machine

Hiya dudes! Thought I'd share some of my progress on a work of mine. It's kinda getting into the same league as your setups!

In advance I'd like to excuse my in some cases bad english.

    Alright, here it comes:

    PROJEKT :: CLMEAN-MACHINE

In this thread I'll show you some progress from socket 775 to i7 and some exchange of hardware and style. I would like you all to comment on what I should do better, things I should think of and perhaps also some suggestions on what I should do now to make this rig a real XS system! I would also like som help and tip about how to set your camera to get that really cool effect some of you have, like Screamer etc. I have an Nikon D40 and I also can use an D300, but it's really to complicated for me. :P

    The Rig:

    Previously on Projekt :: CL[M]EAN-MACHINE
Oh, some pics of the project, before it became a project. :P

    Sleeving

    Chassi:

OK, let's begin with what you came to see.

This is how it first looked when I called it a projekt.

I got complains about the cable management so I tried some more.

It didn't quite suffice so I tried harder yet, and switch position of the SSD

Moved the Sata cables. (And moved some more cables actually)

Some motherboard cooling pics and some less sexy hose management

Took myself some time to try harder.

Got a tip to move the pump to get less hose so I did it.

    Some low quality pics!

Redid the hose management, a new case-side and the new bezels is on.

A smal upgrade, painted the case-side and added some noctuas to the specs. Also exchanged the wheels for some feets. Also bought an HD5870 which is the like second absolutely brand new GPU i've bought since the Nvidia 7950GT. I must say that it were more of an upgrade than I thought! I will buy a new block for the HD5870 to, but there's some other stuff to buy first.

Got tired of that ing blue PCB of the Gigabyte motherboard so I bought an Evga x58 X3 SLI Classified 760, it matches the colorscheme alot better, don't you think?

My "new" mouse! Maybe the best ehm.. Not infrared or lazer mouse ever built? Not actually using it tho. :P

    Modding:
To make this thread a little more interesting I'm going to modify this case a bit. I'm going to make room for an 3x120 radiator in the top of the chassi and also exchange the wheels with feets (Already done tho), add plexicovers inside the case to make it shiny (also already done) and make some changes based and inspired of Laine with the 5.25" room.

Something like this: CRED TO Laine FOR THE MODIFICATIONS AND IDEAS FOR THEM

And this is about where I am atm:

And some reflections in the plexi. I've painted it black on one side and leaved it shiny on the top side resulting in quite a stylish surface.

I am thinking of buying the EK motherboard and GPU nickel acetal block. Any thoughts of them? I really like EK's stuff and always used 'em.

Any thoughts on how to manage the hoses when having just the motherboard and CPU and also when I have CPU, motherboard and GPU. With and without an extra loop. Anyone out there using the same or a similiar setup?

I have an excellent idea for this case but no tools to make the parts... but seeing so many people modding this case recently makes me want to just do it.

No idea really, I'm just starting to do my first case mods and my first watercooling project myself. I'll leave big suggestions to the veterans.

Perhaps just the obvious move of grabbing the EK board block, and perhaps neatening up the sleeving at the plugs to get them more even (you've already cut the sleeve lengths but if it's uneven at the PSU end it's not as noticeable at at the plug ends). From what I can see, the aim with sleeving is to have the sleeve finish at the same part of each wire, then use identical lengths of heatshrink to secure each sleeve so each wire looks the same.

Aircooling, kinda massive, don't you agree?

Naked and exposed, but not for long

The package from ChilledPC has arrived! Thanks Tom!

    Some guts on the floor

Mounting the block were a total drag. Damn it were complicated! Especially for me with my shaky hands.

Some hoses could come in handy.

Mounting the MB into the case.

    Filling the loop

    RESULT:

This is all for this time. I'm currently letting my friend murdermod sleeve my Hx750 with red and black sleeve. Tune in later this week for updates!

Wow my hands hurt from looking at your psu, that's amazing.
Who needs a cd drive anyways

Did you have to give up your front panel ports, to mount the hdds so close?
or did you mod them, or replace them?

Looks great, one suggestion though. From what I have heard those noctua fans you have on the radiator have pretty bad radiator performance. The fan you have exhausting air on the back would work better on the radiator. Remember, cfm isn't everything

I had to sacrifice the front ports in order to use the extra space. Not a great loss actually, never really used em. I'm going to change the fans so that the more powerfull is used on the radiator. But I do use push and pull on the radiator, maybe it's sufficent?

What fittings are those? The 45ş do not leak? I'm asking because many people found theirs to leak specially when subject to stress (as the o-ring gets pressure on one side so it leaks on the other...).

    Awesome build, BTW

I've thought about that and I'm probably going to swap fans today.

Does not leak for me. I'm not sure what fittings it are. Bought them used. But it's 1/2" id, 3/4" OD.

Relativly so actually. The noctua fans does their job.

Some new pics, got my new HX750 from my friend earlier this week. Sleeved with mdpc-x sleeve, thank you Nils! And thank you Sebastian for your hardwork!

I got more pictures in stock, just need to resize 'em if you like to see more. BTW! Is there a way to make the forum itself resize em? Like using [imgw] tags instead of [img] tags?

Thought I present my first and only sponsor.. Ever! I'm quite proud of myself. ^^, Artur have sponsored me with an Enermax Magma Fan, So i can see if they're a better choice than my noctuas. Probably gonna look better anyways.

The led sleeve and motherboard block. It's damn sexy! Great work Eddy!

Alright, if someone know or if Eddy himself takes a look in this thread, I have a question about the EK fittings. Are they available? Are they available in the sizes that fits 3/4OD 1/2ID hose? Right now I'm out of cash for this project, used way to much money already on hardware. :P (Ordered an EK cylinder 250 reservoar and some fesser fittings like the one I use right now. Also some 45 degrees connections and black and red hoses) so the fittings and a Nickel/Acetal block or two for my 5870 and another one for upgrade is going to wait, probably for quiet some time. But someday it's probably gonna find it's way to my Clean, Mean-Machine project.

The last pictures, are they any good? Something I should think about? They're minimized quite a bit right now. To fit the forum, but apart from that. Should I use different angels or something? I currently only possess an Nikon D40, probably can borrow my GF's D300 but it's complicated to use. :P

Gonna update with some fresh pictures once the EK res is installed and the new hoses is in place. Until next time!

I'm aiming @ 110% Red coolant is ordered, red hose is ordered, black hose is ordered and an EK 250 reservoar is ordered. Let's see when they come and what will look best! It's easter here and it's like sunday until thuesday in sweden. Great with some time off, tho the mail isn't dillivered either.

I've also been sponsored with an Enermax Magma fan from Coolingstuff.se as I stated in my previous post. It's black'n red for those who don't know. ^^, So that's one less noctua in the system.. Now I need three more magmas.. Or actually 6 more since I've have plans for making room for a 3x120 rad in the top. Enermax, if you read this. Send 6 Magma fans to Sweden asap! I'm out of cash!

I got plans for the acrylic (plexi) panel by the 5.25". I'm thinking cherryblossom or something instead of Evga. I'm also thinking about making a "shroud" kinda thing for the radiator that's placed in the 5.25" spot. So that it looks more.. Solid (See picture below). What do you guys think of that?

I LOVE the EVGA plate you put on the 5.25" bays!

And the red sleeve is superb

Don't you think the red "CLASSIFIED" cover on the EK block should be standard?
