Push HT Link clock higher and you will see a nice bump on IGP scores...

    Nice score BTW

    890 GPU core to 950 also 890 _ 2000 vs 950 _ 2700

I cant even replicate my score again, it always crashes at GT1.

The 4850 is in, having CPU issues atm, and the system refused to POST 17 times before now. I reset CMOS 11 times.

Im in Wondiws Vasti right now under Cat 10.3 and I'm gonna clock it for a bit of 3D. I know it still does ~750 core and the mem is just as good as it was.

3D Results look good on this board, I've been tuning 3DMark06 all day:

All my problems with my 4850 seem to have dissapeared on this board...

The VRAM is voltmodded, but it artifacts above 1175

Seems the 890GX is a good board. I bought the 945 because I wanted a 95watt version with the 790X UD4P. Haven't really pushed it yet.

What temperatures did you get on before/after lap?

And why the crap is it called Lapping?

Sanding sounds a bit more obvious to me.

IIRC they are soldered on the Phenom II's, so its a bit trickier to remove than on the old A64/opterons.

Since below the IHS is copper, wouldn't a copper heatsink conduct heat better than, IHS to copper?

I mean, Copper to Copper vs IHS to Copper

The copper heatsink and copper cpu would transfer energy more effeciently?

When you lap or remove the IHS.

How do you go about mounting your heatsink back on it?
Just put some AS5 on the chip and set it down?
