    fit - Noctua NH-D14

    hello, Someone knows if the Noctua NH-D14 fits in the bloodrage with the
    Kingston HyperX 3 x 2gb, the ones with the extrange heatsink.

    I wouldn't bet on it. The heat spreaders on those things look /really tall/. Even where spreaders are concerned, they look taller than any set I've seen. There already isn't much in the way of space in the general area underneath the NH-D14. It's just tight

    Ugh... I need more fan headers. I try not to use those 4-pin Molex adapters.

    OP: I think you can remove the heatsinks if you don't mind voiding the warranty.

    It would take some ghetto-rigging to use a smaller fan, but I want to know how the D14 performs with just the 140mm fan.

    I am curious about this too. I wonder if anyone can chime in on how the D14 performs with only a fan sandwiched in the middle.

    Now that some AM3+ mobos are rotated will this still Fit w/o hitting the PSU or RAMS?

    I did not take any temp readings but having the 140MM fan (only) and it makes a really audible turbulent noise!
