Don't even bother taking up a bay. It's slim enough that you can tape it to the floor and not lose either of the two bays. As for looking ghetto, well, that's the advantage of having that whole section of case masked off from view, firstly by that black plastic shield and secondly by the fact the window doesn't show anything down there

Basically, given that you're never going to be hot-swapping it, it seems (to me) that there's little sense in shelling out for an adapter so you can put it in those bays and take up space.
