Wow, that is SHOCKINGLY accurate if I'm running the 32b version. How can I check if mine is 32b or 64b?

Are you running a 32b or 64b operating system? If you're not running a 64b OS you can't run the 64b client.
It's under (x86) Can I upgrade to 64b without affecting the WUs in progress, the queue, the statistics page (showing total points over the last month), etc?

I'm guessing, but I'd think if you change client mid-unit it will screw up the work in progress. I'd be inclined to clear out your cache before switching. Since it's the same machine the stats might be unaffected though.
What if I run both and get an average of the two PPDs? It's still an increase

You can do the upgrade without losing your WU's but it will reset all your manager stats.

If you try and run both on the same machine you'll get half your current return at best or possibly nothing if both clients try to use the same data directory (and end up corrupting the results). You should get a better return from the 64bit client than the 32, so just run that if it matters to you.
Thanks for that I'll just hold out until I get an SSD and have to reinstall anyway

I just found out that i've been running the 32 bit on all of my computers...
Why do they only have the 32 bit on the first page???
That explains a lot, I grabbed mine from the WCG site.

I'm [Ion] from TPU, the original developer of this program.
I would be happy to extend it to cover 6-core CPUs as Dave requested, am I correct in assuming that they give 50% more PPD clock-for-clock than the current quad-core i7s? If so, getting a new version out should be very easy
If there are any more feature requests, feel free to PM me here or at TPU and I'll see about adding them

Could you maybe include "CPU count" in the calculator? For our DP and Quad Socket junkies
We'll give you feedback of course, see if it fits.. but from my own formula, I can say it works out well already, at least for Intel and 64bit clients (don't have much on AMD and 32bit clients).
For i7 with HT running 24/7 and 64bit OS, I use 7,5 x mhz = WCG PPD, for example.
DP Gainestown uses 15 as a multiplier, SP Gulftown/Westmere is 11,25 and DP Westmere 22,5.
For example, Dual X5660: 22,5 x 3066Mhz = 68995 PPD. It does slightly more, actually just over 70k, but being conservative can't hurt, now can it
I'm sure we could get something for CPU count worked out w/out a problem. For an i7, I think I use 7.2 x mhz for the WCG PPD with a 32-bit OS, x 1.10 for x64 (so ~7.9). Not having an i7, these estimates are based on numbers I've collected around TPU from various numbers. If anyone here has more accurate estimations, feel free to PM them to me or post them here and we'll update things.
I'm seriously envious of all of the state-of-the art systems that you have, I've looked through some of your other posts here and those dual-6-core systems that you have look awesome
