Some cpu's like certain vtt - vdimm difference, some are less particular. Sounds like your cpu's MCH doesn't like higher (1.55v+) vdimm. I wouldn't think it's your ram especially if it was working fine with your previous cpu. Have you tried adjusting the dram reference voltages to see if they can help?
