Q9450 OC / Temps / Settings

Thread Revival. Modest overclock, but I only wanted QX9770 performance. I'm running my RAM at its EPP timings @1.9v, 400MHz 1:1 speed.



Only took me about 30-40 minutes to get my tweaks the way I wanted it; it's run 45 minutes of Prime95 after that stable, a full 3DMark Vantage run, a 32 million digit run of HyperPi, and an hour of FallOut 3, all fine.

Vcore is on auto. Migelo, I'm surprised you need 1.496, that seems high to me for a Q9450, but maybe it's just me. I've never used a 780i board, and it may be that a P45 works better in this situation.

Has anyone been successful running all 4 memory slots with Q9450 and 1600FSB?

But maybe I should wait, does anyone know if any brand is gonna release 2x4GB sticks of DDR3 PC12800 ?

Dat'd be me. In my case, 4 slots of DDR2. I'm assuming by 1600FSB, you mean 400MHz quad-pumped; if I'm incorrect, sorry, my bad.

These G.Skill sticks are some of the best I've ever used. Of course, as much of it is probably due to the Gigabyte board, which is also one of the best I've ever had (for reference, I've had boards as far back as 80386DX days).
