    Project: fuZion 800D

Well another 800D project has arrived to the forum

Well im 15 years old and about to do my second watercooling project. Most parts as seen in my sig will be used, however this time with Corsair Obsidian 800D and some XSPC 9800GTX waterblocks (nickel plated) .

I was going to go all i7 and all that but i thought theres no need for me at the moment, i only really play Cod4 competitively and play Bad Company 2 for GFX (which i can max out anyway hehe)

So the project should start tomorrow morning and i should hopefully get pics up of tomorrows progress....

Would also like to say big thanks to www.chilledpc.co.uk

    Hope you Enjoy

    Welshman

BTW my project name is kinda random..just like the word i guess haha

    Day1 13-march-2010

My antec 900 looking on at the beastly 800D:

after dismantling Pc for cleaning i found this: (yuk)

    this sorted the problem:

    Rad flush:

    (cleaned fully now)

    res mounted:

cheap way of 'blackening' DVD drive (electrical tape lol):

tape on wires for fans and pump:

replaced fan on back of case:

GPU blocks to be installed tommorow:

Man at fifteen I wasn't even thinking about watercooling!
I think it was all about BMX back then...

Well the 800 is a beautiful case so just try and do something a little bit different than the next person.

But seriously at fifteen to be able to do it is great!!
BTW my wife is from Ireland. It's absolutely stunning there.
I really would like to go back there someday. The weather
is ideal for building computers as you can be inside all the time!!

Well when we were there it rained every day!
We had to settle for hanging at the pub with
    an extra pint of Guinness.

I assume you have your case already?
What are your plans so far?

I did the same thing with my DVD drive. I used black Duct tape though.

Are you going to sleeve the wires though? Sleeving looks a bit nicer than the tape and you don't have to use Nil's sleeving if its out of the budget.

    Distilled water FTW.

i may eventually get sleeving, however id rather sleeve extension cables rather than psu itself..i feel i could mess it up too much lol

Keep it up. I have this case and it has alot of potential.

Keep an eye out. I'll have a log on here soon. I have some things up my sleeve for this case.

Very nice so far, will it be dual loops?
    Loonym...You are missed.

    The element of one

    Breathe me in
    Breathe me in

I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.

I love tubing here. Almost shortest possible and with no low radius fittings/bends.

    thanks guys:P

was filling it up earlier, however i had a leak coming out the outlet fitting on my swiftech GTZ...was the fitting rather than the tubing so I emptied the loop and tightened the fitting, filled it up again but same problem from exact same spot so I replaced the barb and by the time I did that didnt really have time to fill it (plus its best to let what leaked [small amount] to dry up)

So will be finished off tomorrow and ill try to get some nice pics

You'd be suprised how EASY sleeving is, just time consuming. I just sleeved my first case, takes maybe two-3 goes to get it right, then after that its perfect everytime. Pretty simpler really just draw out the cable along the sleeve, cut it to length, cut 2 pieces of heat-shrink, sleeve, heat the heat-shrink, done.
    Patience is the only talent.

well been awhile since update (ive been away) but theres bad news now...

as i mentioned the pc wouldnt start (somthing shorting it)..so ive took the pc apart..tested the mobo on air outside case and it started up fine...did the same again in case on air fine also (both tests without GFX card)

then tested outside case again trying one GFX card at a time and well..it seems the cards are dead i.e Red light on both and nothing coming up on display [ i guess this could be due to lack of care when putting on the block, i dunno ]

so i guess im going to invest in a new card..but i prob wont watercool it

today ill set up my pc fully with jst cpu watercooled...as soon as new stuff card comes in all i will av to do is literaly plug it straight in

Well thats the update as of now...
