If you freeze anything with "copper" distances change as the metal shrinks when cold, you need to compensate for these changes, even a resistors value can change at -180.
To give you an idea back in the 939 days drives played a role in getting around cold bugs or at least allowing to run a little colder.
IIRC GD70 works well with 1333 divider, however it's usually board/bios dependant.
